(120/366) Busy day yesterday tidying the house up for an unexpected viewing & at the same time welcoming a family with 2 small kids & dog checking into the B&B. So I just had time for a quick snap of one of my cactus plants basking in the sunshine on the kitchen windowsill.
Always seems to arrive so fast as soon as September is here, a beautiful time of year, but also a reminder of what's ahead.

I saw this couple standing on the edge of the lake feeding the ducks.
I converted the original colour photo to black and white as I like the stark shapes of the Winter trees that framed the shot.
This is the seventh week my wife has been in hospital and the reason I have been quiet on Flickr. Almost ready to be discharged, maybe next week?
Just noticed this was taken 9 years ago when I bought my first Canon, still working fine!

Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes), running along the ridge, takes a moment to assess the situation before moving on. What it saw was about a dozen photographers standing on the side of the road below. The fox, clearly a veteran of the Yellowstone human invasions, simply ignored all of us and proceeded to hunt.
