Soft and silent, whispers grace,
In its heart, a sacred space.
Symbol of both peace and love,
Sent from heavens high above.
Un embrasement hallucinant de Manhattan lors du coucher de soleil. Je suis resté un bon moment en extase.
A lone tree in the most perfect place at White Pocket. It’s like it knew where to grow to be the most photogenic.

The Basilica of Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary in Kalisz was built in 1353, and in 1359, a three-nave main body in the Gothic style was added to the presbytery. In 1783 there was a construction disaster, as a result of which the western facade and central part of this church were destroyed. The church was rebuilt in 1792, changing its style to late baroque, and a high tower and a chapel for the image of the Holy Family were added. In 1948, after the war damage, the top of the tower was reconstructed.
This church is the national shrine of St. Joseph of Nazareth, visited by over 200,000 every year. pilgrims from all over Poland. In the aisle there is a chapel of the Holy Family painting, in front of which Pope John Paul II prayed in June 1997.
The beginning of the cult of the image of the Holy Family is exactly unknown, as is its author. In 1783, Pope Pius VI issued a decision about the miraculous image of the painting, on May 31 of the same year in Rome, a copy of the image of the Holy Family was crowned.
In 1978, Pope John Paul II gave the church the title of minor basilica.

Bazylika Wniebowzięcia Najświętszej Maryi Panny w Kaliszu była zbudowana w 1353 roku a w 1359, do prezbiterium dobudowano trójnawowy korpus główny w stylu gotyckim. W 1783 roku doszło do katastrofy budowlanej, w wyniku której zniszczeniu uległa fasada zachodnia i część środkowa kościoła.

A landscape version of the ‘Cheesegrater’, a car park in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It was designed by architects Allies and Morrison.
In 2009 it won a RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Regional Award. These awards are given to UK buildings for their regional architectural importance. In 2013 it gained third place in the 'World’s Coolest Car Park' awards.

What a fantastic day!
It started with a 4am nasty alarm call to head for Emsworthy Bluebells on Dartmoor. OMG! They were amazing and only me there! After 2 other locations I went home for a few hours to chill…
BUT, I couldn’t resist returning for a sunset with Liz later that day.
Hello crowds of people! They were scattered over the area of the bluebells around the red roofed Emsworthy barn. I’m guessing 100+ walkers, photographers and Saltash camera club. To be honest I prefer a nice and peaceful environment when I’m out and about but hey ho. As the sun dropped we started to take a few photos but it was very tricky to exclude distractions. We enjoyed the nice warm light to start with but there wasn’t a colourful sky at sunset time in fact it turned quite grey. Everyone left the area but not us. I’ve been caught out in past walking away from interesting clouds after sundown missing out on a fabulous colourful afterglow. I simply didn’t want to walk away from the mass of bluebells especially when they were at their best. I was tired too after the very early start.
Then the sky very slowly developed into something special. I literally ran (awkward jog) around the field to the other side of the barn with my new Maven magnetic filters flying everywhere. I swept then up with two scoops of the hands whilst trying to catch my breath. Minutes later we were both taking photographs of the most spectacular late sunset over the iconic barn. We eventually strolled back to the car with big smiley midge bitten faces ; Well mine anyway because I advised Liz to wear a mosquito net! 😇
