Not sure if you have the same saying overseas but here in the UK it means to get your life in order. Well with three more sleeps until we head to Weston Super Mare to collect Paige for our trip to Italy on Friday, I am desperately trying to do this!

Ducks two days in a row...wonders never cease! :) When the pond is mostly iced over there is a channel of open water that leads up to the road where I can park the rolling blind. There are a lot more reeds, willows etc. in the way than in my usual spot, but since I saw them there when I first drove up, even though they swam away, I hoped they would come back. Lovely to get this pair in so close, even in the before sunrise light. Hooded Mergansers, Siskiyou County, California

This morning before the heat started sweltering we decided to head out on a walk in search of Pokémon for Sylvia's youngest. We found a few Pokémon Stops but I don't think any actual Pokémon were located.

That's okay though, it was a good walk and we swung around to hit up the marsh and to see what was there. A few turtles and quite a few ducks.

All in all, it was a good day with lots of fun for the girls.
