The artificial Abraham lake in a tranquil surroundings becomes a spectacular site during winter. The temperatures fall below -30 degrees Celsius here, thus making this big lake freeze. My 500 link 500px.com/yiannispavlis my facebook www.facebook.com/YiannisPavlis4/ my instagram www.instagram.com/yiannispavlisphoto/

An ice cube slowly melts forming a pool of water. The ice sits on a metal tray which picks up a reflection of it's shape.

Vanilla ice cream brand "Royal Food". Cooking is very simple: 300 ml of milk for the contents of the package is whipped with a mixer. Pour into a suitable dish and put in the freezer for 4 hours. Decorated with wafer tubes, I added chocolate chips to one cup, chocolate topping to another cup. In a small cup of coffee, too, ice cream. Delicious!

Liked the way the clouds and the ice matched across the image, only touching the mountain or its reflection

It's been cold enough the past few days that ice is forming on the Middle River, a tributary of the Des Moines River. This mobile photo was taken just east of Winterset, Iowa on Holliwell Bridge Road.

Air bubbles in the frozen brine of sea water at Clam Harbour Beach.

Ice from a nearby glacier lines the north Atlantic shore at Jokulsarlon, Iceland. The ice beaks off and reaches this point, the chunks are said to be a million or more years old.

The ice cave in Breiðarmerkurjökull has shrunk a little, and has a few openings that add more light and change the images completely.

Very beautiful when it has new snow covering everything.

Despite it being early Summer, the wind blowing down from the Colombia Icefield was bitter and the water in this stream, although crystal clear, was painful to touch.

A native of South Africa, Delosperma cooperi is known commonly as trailing ice plant.

The common name of ice plant is given because the bladder-like hairs on the leaf surface reflect and refract light in a way that make it appear to sparkle like ice crystals.

The flowers are the most brilliant aspect of this succulent plant, a great quantity of magenta/hot pink flowers are produced that often cover the entire site.

Each individual flower is just 3 to 4cm in diameter.

I walked through the woods as if I were on my way home. I counted every step and touched every tree. The ground was undisturbed and joy was abundant in these woods. I was surrounded by beauty and the beauty warmed my heart. I walked to a place where the water fell. I sat and listened to the water as it fell to the sand floor below. The ice waited for me to find it. Eventually the ice will go, but part of me will stay. A Gift I am sure, truly a Blessed Life.

A late appearance of lake ice is likely due to the ever changing climate. The waterfowl must be satisfied with the remaining open spots or must move on. The pandemic makes large stretches of shoreline empty of human presence although cold temperatures have the same effect.

There is a distant and lingering cloud bank.

Walking down the beach I came up on this big ice patch and right in the middle of it was this. This little guy got frozen. I knew to get the shot I wanted I had to get cold. Laying on my stomach I look thru this stick who got caught in the ice. It was the perfect way to end the day. A sunset which I haven’t seen in weeks. It was all worth the cold.
