Die Isoly I kostete 37,- DM.

The Iso Rivolta GTZ is based on a seventh generation Corvette. It has a 6.2 litre blown engine producing 650bhp. The 'Z' stands for Zagato. Only 19 GTZ cars are to be built, which suggest that they won't come cheap.

Best viewed large.

Let its small size trick you, the Isoly Junior is nothing more than a dressed up Box camera; one might even equate the camera with a Holga featuring a Glass lens.

September 2016

This is a submission for the "Octagons for October" challenge from the tessellation group.

Despite how obvious it is that I used octagons in the CP, the completed model shows no signs of having used octagons: www.flickr.com/photos/8303956@N08/2889490769/

This is quite frustrating to collapse because of the way the angles are for the almost-iso-area octagon twists (they would be iso-area if the octagons were regular). The entire tess as a whole is still iso-area.

Of all of my recent designs, this one is the most difficult to collapse considering how "simple" the CP looks like it should be. This is a basic 8.8.4 pattern; the customization of the pleat angles, pleat lengths, and mountain/valley decisions are what make it different/cool.

This Iso Grifo is one of only 21 7,4 litre CanAm versions ever build. Body design was by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Bertone. Easily recognized with it's famous "Penthouse" scoop to make place for its 7,4 litre Chevrolet, 435 hp engine, the Iso Grifo CanAm had a claimed top speed of over 300 km/h. The factory owner, Renzo Rivolta, made his fortune out of making kitchen equipment and entered the car market building cheap Iso bubble cars post war. Giotto Bizzarrini, of Ferrari 250 GTO and Lamborghini fame, joined the company and Iso Rivolta entered the sports car market in the sixties. This rare Iso Grifo Series 2 CanAm was sold new in Strasbourg, France in 1971. In total, 413 Iso Grifos were built before the ISO S.P.A. closed it doors in 1974 during the oil crisis.

Yet another square-based iso-area tessellation to add to my collection.

I thought this was interesting because it has iso-area square twists that are ON the grid with pleat-lines OFF the grid, as opposed to the usual square twists that are twist off the grid and pleats on the grid.

The triangle twists arrange themselves into pairs and come together on their hypotenuses to form squares.
