As I was driving through Masonicare, up to Ashler Village, a place I've never visited, I was amazed at how wonderful and beautiful this place was. And, as I was about to leave, I saw, out of the corner of my eye, this big black car sitting in this huge Carport. Well, being the car enthusiast that I am, I had to go investigate this behemoth. And this is what I saw. It's a Cadillac from 1941, that an elderly man owns, who lives in spot #51. I was so impressed, that I had to get out of my car and take a bunch of photos.

Now I just don't understand what's going on here. The exterior indicates that a renovation took place around 2009-2011, yet when you go inside the dining room was clearly redone more recently! And not everything was redone: the tilework behind the counter and in the restrooms are no doubt from the last remodel. It's one of the plainer-looking of the recent remodels too, mostly consisting of white walls and not much artwork. Hell, they didn't even get a Coke Freestyle machine! It's just, I dunno, a bizarre mix of styles. It's also the last Southside Wendy's I'll be visiting for a while, as I've now run out of pre-2012-looking locations to document.
Interior shot as building new children's house nears completion. Motherwell is the third of 4 new build children's houses designed to provide safe care for 6 young people at any one time.
This is the interior of Roy’s Café. It is quite dark, and makes a for a suitable shock when you come inside from the desert sun.
