I took this after work today, just enjoying my new tokina 11-16mm
Its funny when I think about the interior color of my car. When I first got the car I was thinking maybe blue looks a bit odd, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Now I actually really prefer the blue. It gives me a feeling of climbing into some sort of cool video game machine every time I get inside =)

I had the chance to go shoot an AMAZING home for an interior designer the other day. It was gorgeous!

Mostly finished. Will prob tweak a little here and there.
First panel in the series, there will be five I think.
I'm looking at interiors, spaces that once existed to be used by people, now forgotton with the memories of those people left behind here and there. The viewer has a way out, the lit doorways, but has yet to choose to take it.
Losing purpose, dereliction, empty and sometimes distressing, sometimes dignified.

It's pretty much all business in the cockpit. Shift light on the steering column, tach mounted under-dash (where the factory ashtray was), 5-point safety harnesses, short-throw Hurst shifter on the 6-speed, easily accessed fire extinguisher, Flaming River tilt column and 3-spoke early Vette-style steering wheel. Bench seat is a Glide Engineering unit, with a cool armrest and it's genuinely comfortable. But the interior looks fetching in its factory gold color, and the radio delete plate has been there since 1967...Pardon the pair of helmets on the passenger side floor. We were racing that day.

The classic 1950s Ercol Studio couch has a new Love London look on the Designersblock stand at Interiors UK. The long flat seat cushion, and the three back cushions, of this much-loved iconic design each have a different black-and-white fabric cover from the new Love London design collection by Digetex. There is just a splash of colour from a red London phone box, and the red cushions trims/back.
The Love London design collection is drawn from Barbara Chandler’s Love London book of 180 photographs, a neat-little hardback, newly published by Batsford at £9.99 (www.annovabooks.com). Photographs are teamed with over 100 quotes about London, from 15th century poetry to a modern blog, with Shakespeare, Milton, Johnson, Dickens and many more along the way. The Evening Standard described Barbara Chandler as “the sharpest eye in London.” Love London is “a personal and stunning take on the capital in all its ragged glory,” said Living Etc magazine, whilst the influential Londonist blog said Love London is “the most desirable photographic collection of the capital.”
Love London’s unique images are the basis of the Love London brand, with fabrics by the metre, wallpaper and murals, tea towels, cushions, roller blinds, aprons, and bone china. And now the elegant Ercol Studio couch!
Ercol www.ercol.co.uk joins the existing Love London partners of Digetex (textiles and wallpapers) www.digetex.com and The New English (bone china). www.newenglish.co.uk
“Ercol is the perfect partner for us,” says Barbara Chandler. “Such beautiful designs, so beautifully made, and so thoroughly British.”
The solid wood Ercol studio couch can also be used as a single bed. It has a beech frame with elm back panel. There is a choice of seven wood finishes, from clear to a traditional dark, and six painted colours: aqua, mandarin, navy, white, black and Ercol blue. It is 203 cm wide, 88cm deep, and 85 cm high.
This special edition Studio Couch will be available to order, price on application.

* Love London bone china plates and trinket boxes by The New English are also on the Designersblock stand.
* Barbara Chandler, well known as a design journalist, is an accomplished photographer who has been exhibiting/selling prints and handmade cards for nearly 25 years, from Portobello Market to The Conran Shop. Her show Love London at Habitat on Regent Street in September 2008 was a sell out, with an edition of 200 mounted, framed and signed prints.
* Ercol is one of Britain’s most loved furniture brands and part of Britain’s design heritage, with a design studio and factory in the heart of chair-making country, Princess Risborough in the Chilterns. Founded in 1920 by young Italian designer, Lucian Ercolani OBE, Ercol has consistently worked with craftsmen, manufacturers and retailers, to creating a huge global audience for designs which are as good-looking as they are functional.
