Sepia full square edit version. Ghosting going on in the cables but I like this full square version so wanted to post it. Thought the sepia gave a warmer atmosphere to the eye and its passengers.

Red cherry sage blooming by the house hedge. Taken on a walk around the sunset time.
Cherry sage is the common name for Salvia microphilla, Salvia greggii, and Salvia х jamensis (a hybrid between S. microphilla and S. greggii).

This little herb - chamomile ( Matricaria chamomilla) - really attracts a wide variety of insects. Today I noticed this interesting beetle - the Eurasian bee beetle (Trichius fasciatus). Its name is not accidental, because it definitely looks like a bee, right? Spring by the sea, still cool and with some rain : )

Kerria japonica (Japanese kerria, ‘Yamabuki’ in Japanese) is a flowering shrub in the rose family, native to Japan and Northeastern Asia. It produces brilliant golden yellow flowers in late spring.
The picture is its double-flowered variation Kerria japonica f. plena or K. japonica ‘Pleniflora’.
