Back in the 1960s, few cameras were easier to use and more affordable than the Sprite 35. Forget shutter speeds, aperture, or light meters – just load a roll of film, hit the shutter button, and press the film lever. It was an attractive camera for people who wanted to capture a few snaps without fussing about the right settings.
The Ilford Sprite 35-II continues that heritage and will meet the needs of people experimenting with 35mm film and looking for a camera that’s ‘no frills’ simple. It’s a step up from disposable cameras, and being re-usable, it won’t create extra waste.
The camera has a fixed shutter speed (1/120s) with a 31mm, single element f9 fixed-focus wide-angle lens, perfect for capturing most well-focused daylight scenes, and also features a built-in flash with a 15-second recycle time for night time shooting.

"Fast jets get all the glory, but when it came to a dedicated ground attack plane, G.I.Joe went with a propeller powered subsonic design. The Mudfighter II features a contra rotating pusher prop that generates far less heat than a jet engine would, making it harder to shoot down with heat seeking missiles, and allows the airplane to conserve its fuel and "loiter" over the battlefield for an extended period of time. As its name suggests, the Mudfighter typically does its fighting at very low levels, ideal for accurate close air support, and offering air defenses on the ground the narrowest opportunity to shoot it down.
The Mudfighter II carries air to air missiles for self defense against other aircraft and a pair of multi-purpose cannon. But it packs most of its punch in the ordnance it carries beneath its wings and internally in its weapons bay. While it can carry a variety of guided bombs and missiles, its most common load out is 16 conventional bombs, representing a brutally simple approach to devastating ground targets."
It is always a thrill to build a MOC of one of my favorite childhood toys or of a toy I really wanted as a kid, but never had. But there's also something very satisfying in spending time working on a toy that I never really liked to begin with, and try to improve upon it to suit my vision of what it could have been, while still keeping enough of the original so as to be recognizable. The Mudfighter belongs to this latter category - when I first saw it I thought it was the ugliest thing ever. And not in a cool "A-10 ugly" sort of way, but just an awkward looking undersized airplane with no retractable landing gear, and that armored (but glassless) canopy:

The ungainly-looking Mudfighter was never one of the Joes' most iconic planes, but it was their counterpart to the Rattler which I built last, and for some reason, this strange green ground attacker called to me. Perhaps because I've been thinking about prop-driven ground attack planes for a years now but never built one (unless you count my pocket-sized tilt-rotor FANG II).
My Mudfighter II is much much larger than the original, perhaps a little bigger than I planned at first, and the most obvious of the additions I've added is the twin boom tail. Other upgrades include retractable landing gear and a contra-rotating propeller in the back.
For the pusher prop, I used the design developed by Stephen Pakbaz.

I planned initially to motorize this, but wasn't able to do it without making the plane even bigger than it was already. Without a motor and battery box inside, I decided to give it an internal bomb bay, so it can still carry it's original warload of 16 bombs, but unlike the original, it carries half of these internally.
I had several other ideas for the Mudfighter II that didn't end up getting used, such as canards in the front and a second crewman with a side mounted weapon.
Shot near Forster on the NSW north coast, with an IR DSLR - a converted EOS 5D Mark II with a Deep B&W IR filter in it, equivalent to 830nm. Which means this is not a B&W converted image.
Shot on Fujichrome Provia 100F, with first development in Rodinal (1:25, 38°C, 12 minutes), fogged (3 minutes), then second development in Unicolor (developer 5 minutes 38°C, blix 10 minutes 38°C, stabilizer 1 minutes).

The Bayezid II Mosque (Turkish: Beyazıt Camii, Bayezid Camii) is an Ottoman imperial mosque located in the Beyazıt Square area of Istanbul, Turkey, near the ruins of the Forum of Theodosius of ancient Constantinople.
Built in 1501, the Beyazidiye Camii was commissioned by Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II, and was the second large imperial mosque complex to be erected in Istanbul after the conquest.
Recently delivered but not in service yet, the Pelee Islander II will serve the people of Pelee Island from the Lake Erie mainland ports of Leamington and Kingsville. The Chilean built RO/RO passenger ship has a capacity of 399 people, 34 automobiles and 4 transport trucks.

The A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American single-seat, twin-engine, straight-wing jet aircraft developed by Fairchild-Republic for the United States Air Force to provide close air support (CAS) of ground forces by attacking tanks, armored vehicles, and other ground targets with a limited air interdiction capability. It is the first U.S. Air Force aircraft designed exclusively for close air support.
The A-10 is designed around the GAU-8 Avenger, a heavy automatic cannon which forms the aircraft's primary armament. The aircraft's hull incorporates over 900 lb (410 kg) of armor and is designed with survivability in mind, with protective measures in place which enable the craft to stay aloft even after significant damage.
The A-10's official name comes from the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt of World War II, a fighter that was particularly effective at close air support. The A-10 is more commonly known by its nickname "Warthog" or simply "Hog".[3] As a secondary mission, it provides airborne forward air control, guiding other aircraft against ground targets. A-10s used primarily in this role are designated OA-10.[4] The A-10 is expected to be replaced in 2028 or later.

The Queen Elizabeth II Equestrian statue is located between the Center Block and the East Block buildings on the grounds of Parliament Hill in downtown Ottawa. The bronze was sculpted by Jack Harman, from British Columbia, and his son. The statue has the Queen riding the Royal Canadian Mounted Police horse named Centenial -- a gift from the RCMP to the Queen in 1973.

Mind you it was probably a bit tougher being a King back in the 1660-80s. At least he didn't get his head chopped off like his dad. Although he might actually have been poisoned - so maybe he should check the contents of that bottle!
