I'm attending Brickcon this year and will display this one.

The beautiful Selina II sailing on the Miles River. This is a restored, historic catboat and what a beauty under sail! She is based out of St. Michaels, Md. and is available for charter of up to 6 guests.

Descended from small boats carried by 18th century British merchant ships in the new world,[12] around the turn of the 20th century, catboats were adapted for racing, and long booms and gaffs, bowsprits and large jibs were fitted to capture as much wind as possible. The decline of racing and advent of small, efficient gasoline engines eliminated the need for large sailplans, and catboats today are used as pleasure craft for day sailing and cruising, and have the virtues of roominess, stability and simple handling, though many catboats have poorer upwind performance than well-designed sloop-rigged craft.

Today was a glorious, late summer day. We went across the bay to the mIles River. The ride back was a bit challenging as the wind had picked up and shifted-lots of rough water but not a real issue for us or the boat.

Like a mirror, like a photographer.

Cormorant colorny and rookery on a rocky prominese, Point Lobos.

This cormorant breeding colony was on a rocky prominence just a short distance away from a trail I followed along a coastal bluff. Perhaps the birds felt safer with an uncrossable gulf between us. In any case, they mostly went about their business even though I was close enough to photograph them, positioned on the rock above Monterey Bay on a foggy morning.

Not all of their activities made sense to me, though some did. Half the birds were adults and half were (very large!) juveniles — the latter visible by means of their mottle feathers, their shorter beaches, and their incessant clamoring of “feed me!” to their parents. From time to time one of the adults would arrive with a prize and the young birds became very interested!

These four panels will make up the tops and bottoms of Rosanna II's side pods. The dark grey of the bow passes roughly into the black, as the paint has faded towards the bow. The light grey engine cowling has been maintained, though. The single red stripe is preserved to show (to those that know) the ship's allegiance to the CLF. The other stripes, once fully painted, have been allowed to fade and scuff.

Circa 1973. I suppose that almost every photographer takes a photo such as this at sometime or another, especially in the age of film. Often enough during that era, amateurs such as myself would take some semi-waste shots just to get to the end of the roll!

In most of the world, this camera would be an Asahi Pentax. In the US, it was Honeywell Pentax as this one was. The lenses said Asahi though.

With a mechanically-operated shutter, aperture and focus, the button cell battery powered only the built-in TTL light meter.

Acquired after graduating from high school using money earned from a Summer job, I used it quite a bit while in college.

Projekt "Blacktron II Special Forces" Part 2 "MBT Scorpion II"

Yes, it is a slightly modified Halo Scorpion M808 B1. I wanted to recreate this tank since long. All previous models of this tank that I have seen, are not accurate enough for me. So I've been thinking long, and have come to the conclusion that in relation to a Minifig to double the size. Then I worked on self supporting chain runs very long. Because I did not like the bricks to hold the axes in addition to the running rollers and drive wheels of the chain. That takes some accuracy of detail in my eyes. So I have now managed by various techniques an accurate replica for me.It would be no reproduction ala Stephan Niehoff, if I had not made a few small changes. The turret I designed a little flatter, which looks more like a battle tank. And the cannon I've designed something spacey. Ohhh, of course, the MBT received a Blacktron II painting.

Details: The turret can be rotated 360 degrees, the gun barrel can be raised by 45 degrees, the chain runs can be rotated 360 degrees, and the chains work.

The Blacktron engineers created this tank based on the model of a series of games. They play this game with great enthusiasm. But they had to expand the dimensions to carry enough ammunition and hightech with. Because this destruction machine has a 160 mm cannon, which is why the turret was flat, to compensate for the enormous blowback. The 160 mm projectiles are fired by inductive voltage. And can hit a target up to 40 KM. This makes the bullets a little smaller because no propellant is required. The energy for the weapon and the drive provides a fusion reactor. So that no fuel is needed and a nearly unlimited range guaranteed. The secondary weapon is a high speed plasma machine gun, no ammunition unlimited number of shots.A neuroimplant of the second generation allows that one crew member is sufficient to perform all the functions of the tank.

The combat weight is the only weak point, with 125 tons of these MBT it is not suitable for all terrain. Each MBT is supported by Blacktron II infantry units. (Often elite infantry of the CS series). And drones of the SkyEye series. OohRah
