Daihatsu Midget II van imported from Japan. These are a single seater with a manual transmission and two seater with an automatic. Kei class.
Beaglette II a 5x7 pinhole camera modified to make two pictures on one piece of 5x7 photo paper. This photo shows paper with mask on top to make round photos. The top box inside bottom box to hold mask and paper in place.

The Bayezid II Mosque (Turkish: Beyazıt Camii, Bayezid Camii) is an Ottoman imperial mosque located in the Beyazıt Square area of Istanbul, Turkey, near the ruins of the Forum of Theodosius of ancient Constantinople.
Built in 1501, the Beyazidiye Camii was commissioned by Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II, and was the second large imperial mosque complex to be erected in Istanbul after the conquest.

The A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American single-seat, twin-engine, straight-wing jet aircraft developed by Fairchild-Republic for the United States Air Force to provide close air support (CAS) of ground forces by attacking tanks, armored vehicles, and other ground targets with a limited air interdiction capability. It is the first U.S. Air Force aircraft designed exclusively for close air support.
The A-10 is designed around the GAU-8 Avenger, a heavy automatic cannon which forms the aircraft's primary armament. The aircraft's hull incorporates over 900 lb (410 kg) of armor and is designed with survivability in mind, with protective measures in place which enable the craft to stay aloft even after significant damage.
The A-10's official name comes from the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt of World War II, a fighter that was particularly effective at close air support. The A-10 is more commonly known by its nickname "Warthog" or simply "Hog".[3] As a secondary mission, it provides airborne forward air control, guiding other aircraft against ground targets. A-10s used primarily in this role are designated OA-10.[4] The A-10 is expected to be replaced in 2028 or later.

The Queen Elizabeth II Equestrian statue is located between the Center Block and the East Block buildings on the grounds of Parliament Hill in downtown Ottawa. The bronze was sculpted by Jack Harman, from British Columbia, and his son. The statue has the Queen riding the Royal Canadian Mounted Police horse named Centenial -- a gift from the RCMP to the Queen in 1973.

Mind you it was probably a bit tougher being a King back in the 1660-80s. At least he didn't get his head chopped off like his dad. Although he might actually have been poisoned - so maybe he should check the contents of that bottle!

The beautiful Selina II sailing on the Miles River. This is a restored, historic catboat and what a beauty under sail! She is based out of St. Michaels, Md. and is available for charter of up to 6 guests.
Descended from small boats carried by 18th century British merchant ships in the new world,[12] around the turn of the 20th century, catboats were adapted for racing, and long booms and gaffs, bowsprits and large jibs were fitted to capture as much wind as possible. The decline of racing and advent of small, efficient gasoline engines eliminated the need for large sailplans, and catboats today are used as pleasure craft for day sailing and cruising, and have the virtues of roominess, stability and simple handling, though many catboats have poorer upwind performance than well-designed sloop-rigged craft.
Today was a glorious, late summer day. We went across the bay to the mIles River. The ride back was a bit challenging as the wind had picked up and shifted-lots of rough water but not a real issue for us or the boat.
Promised a coloured version of this after the b-w one earlier this year...

Cormorant colorny and rookery on a rocky prominese, Point Lobos.
This cormorant breeding colony was on a rocky prominence just a short distance away from a trail I followed along a coastal bluff. Perhaps the birds felt safer with an uncrossable gulf between us. In any case, they mostly went about their business even though I was close enough to photograph them, positioned on the rock above Monterey Bay on a foggy morning.
Not all of their activities made sense to me, though some did. Half the birds were adults and half were (very large!) juveniles — the latter visible by means of their mottle feathers, their shorter beaches, and their incessant clamoring of “feed me!” to their parents. From time to time one of the adults would arrive with a prize and the young birds became very interested!
