A photo taken at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Michigan, near the town of Empire. The young woman in the green bathing suit ( lower left ) is just finishing the strenuous 'dune climb' from the lake's edge, about 60’ uphill in loose sand. If you go downhill to the water and can’t make it back up, there is a much easier walk-out about a half-mile down the beach.
The other folks walking on the sandy path to the right are heading over the hill to the scenic viewing platform that sticks-out over the dunes. You can just see the end of that platform near the bottom of the trees where the water meets the sky ( on the left ).

My second slightly brighter version of previous image from St. Marys as I was looking at it and decided that it was a bit too dark so i tweaked it a bit. I think it looks a bit better. Let me know what you think (if you want:)) Thanks for looking, all comments and faves are greatly appreciated.

Morning rush hour scooter traffic in the centre of Taipei.
Over half of Taiwan's 23 million population own a scooter, with roughly 14 million of them on the roads of this tiny island nation. Thankfully electric bikes are starting to gain in popularity here, as you can imagine the noise and pollution are quite an assault on the senses during these heavy traffic flows through the city.
