This is only a hand held, higher iso version but one day I will get up their with my tripod. The dark area in the middle (not the harbour) is the old Kai Tak Airport. **Kai Tak is not being used for anything at the moment but construction is about to start on a cruise ship terminal, housing, parks etc.

紅磡舊稱大環，19世紀末開始填海發展，設有黃埔船塢、青洲英泥公司和中華電力的鶴園發電廠(1921-1991)。船塢於1980年代中重建為黃埔花園，電廠和英泥廠則於1990年代中重建為海逸豪園和工廠大廈。
Hung Hom was started to be developed into industrial area in late 1900s with Hong Kong and Whampoa Dock, Green Island Cement Company and Hok Un Power Station occupied there. The dock was redeveloped into Whampoa Garden in 1980s while the cement plant and power station were redeveloped into factory buildings and Laguna Verde in 1990s.

Hung Hom (Chinese: 紅磡, red cliff) is an area of Kowloon, in Hong Kong, administratively part of the Kowloon City District, with a portion west of the railway in the Yau Tsim Mong District. Hung Hom serves mainly residential purposes though is mixed with some industrial buildings in the north.
紅磡（英語：Hung Hom），昔日稱紅碪，位於香港九龍，行政屬於九龍城區，但行政區則屬於油尖旺區管轄。現時該區區內大多是住宅樓宇，以私人屋苑為主。

2008世界女排大奖赛香港站中国队3-0狂扫日本一雪前耻，用横扫亚洲冠军的方式证明自己才是无可争议的亚洲第一。然而中国女排的取胜并不是一帆风顺，在第二局中国队曾经陷入险境，更重要的一点是，日本女排雪藏了两名主攻栗原惠和高桥美雪，她们显然不想在奥运会之前暴露全部实力，去年亚锦赛夺冠的技战术打法也没有全部拿出来。
比赛首局中国女排王一梅的强力发球和“双塔”赵蕊蕊和薛明的拦网让日本队阵型大乱，一传不稳的日本队无法打出快攻，很快就先折掉一阵。不过第二局比赛日本女排开始打出了自身的特色，她们努力压低一传，利用快速的节奏在二号位寻求突破，从而甩开了薛明、赵蕊蕊在三号位的拦网。而且发球环节木村纱织等人的飘球找人很有威胁，中国女排的一传被打得千疮百孔。
中国女排是亚洲快变打法的代表，但日本队的节奏比中国还要快，亚锦赛上日本人就是靠速度拖垮中国女排的。在第二局比赛里日本队充分发挥了速度优势，中国女排双塔拦网高度虽然了得，但在脚步移动方面存在瑕疵，日本女排接应木村纱织和两名副攻杉山祥子、荒木绘里香都找到了“打空门”的机会。现在看来二号位的拦网中国队存在一些破绽。薛明在防战术球时经验还有待加强，越打越自信的日本人也曾在三号位薛明头上“动土”。
1米59的竹下佳江被日本媒体称为世界级的二传手，这名球员组织球路灵活多变，其他球员的穿插跑动都有的放失，故而总能打出闪电的节奏，在场上就会显得比中国队快半拍。当日本女排加强拦网第二局遏制住了王一梅四号位的强攻，日本队22-17领先胜利眼看就唾手可得。陈忠和的神奇换人固然帮助女排起死回生，但裁判的一次有争议判罚也是中国队险胜的因素。
从防反快攻的效果来看，日本女排的能力要强过中国女排一筹，中国队“后排铁三角”张娜、周苏红和杨昊在救球环节难觅2004雅典奥运的神勇。而日本女排的防守非常顽强，后场起球的概率要高过中国女排。中国女排不可能用强攻一下子就解决问题，而日本队如果火力再强一点，完全可以凭借源源不断的防反机会来击败中国女排。
雪藏栗原惠和高桥美雪是日本女排的一个战略，她们不想过早暴露围绕主攻的新战术，2007亚锦赛那种标志性的快速拉开打四号位，日本队几乎没有怎么使用。而日本女排向来都有在国际大赛之前故意稀里糊涂放烟雾弹的传统。2007 女排大奖赛日本女排显得弱不禁风，但其后的亚锦赛却突然崛起，竟然以3-0的悬殊比分爆冷击败中国女排，抢走了亚洲冠军的头衔。
中国女排北京奥运与日本队同组，但媒体把中国队小组的最大对手视为古巴和美国，一直忽略了日本队的存在，相信香港站的奏凯更会加深这种麻痹大意思想。可是事实上，日本女排不但在战术上有所保留，两名最锐利的主攻也被雪藏起来，她们目前浑浑噩噩的状态背后，似乎酝酿着更大的野心。
