Local temples to Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy, have extended their hours so worshippers can borrow from her.

Tradition is that Guanyin once a year provides the means to become wealthy.

But these are loans, and borrowers must clear the debt by the end of the lunar year by burning a red packet at the temple where a deal is made. Offerings, meanwhile, are welcome.

Hung Hom Temple offers the loans up to HK$1 billion.

One silly test shot with this ultra wide over last weekend.

This photo should be taken at the Hunghom bay instead of Kowloon Bay as indicated on the pic. Correct me if I am wrong, thanks!

The original Pak Tai Temple in Hung Hom was built in 1876 and located on a small hill called “Hok Yuen (鶴園)”. In 1921, due to construction of roads in Hung Hom, the temple was demolished and Pak Tai’s statue was kept in Tam Kung Road. In 1929 a temple was rebuilt in the current site, 146 Ma Tau Wai Road, and the statue was moved into the temple again. Pak Tai (North Emperor) is a Taoism god that govern the northern district, his throne is at Polaris. He is also a war god and the god to living creatures in the sea, therefore Pak Tai has a lot of worshippers among fishermen. A street near the temple called “Pak Kung” means Pak Tai’ protection. Once the temple was classified as Grade III historical building but now it is unclassified.

The Hong Kong Coliseum has established itself as one of the most popular multipurpose indoor stadium in Hong Kong for international sports events, spectacular entertainment programmes, pop concerts and convention since April 1983.

Shaped like an inverted pyramid, the Coliseum is one of the most eye-catching landmarks on the waterfront of Hong Kong. The imposing design was constructed from rooftop downwards which creates a maximum column-free space out of the 1,600 sq.m arena, accommodating for over 12,500 audience.

Adjacent to MTR Hung Hom station, the venue is easily accessible by trains and other public transport.

Hung Hom.

She is a nice and funny person even thought she said that she don't like to smile much. That's what I love, that's my Hong Kong.

BTW, I really like the tone and bokeh of my 8 elements which once I wanted to sell it......

To interrupt this feature with a special presentation:

I just wanted to introduce to everyone my dream man - Show Luo 羅志祥 (aka "Little Pig" 小豬). He's hot, he's funny, he's adorable and sweet, a great dancer and a great singer. What more can a girl ask for in a guy? :P Too bad the 99% of the female population in HK and Taiwan have the same thoughts as me...

Anyways, still have quite a few Myanmar pics I want to upload (plus I think a few more pics of my "dream man"), so stay tuned ;) Oh, and this pic is SOOC except for crop.

Established in 1873, Guanyin Temple is a temple for worshipping Avalokiteshvara or the Goddess of Mercy. On either side of the temple, the “Hung Hom Sam York Sor”(or Kung Sor) (Office of the Committee Council of the three boroughs) and a charitable school [or Hsu Yuen] were respectively constructed. The Temple remained intact during the Japanese Occupation(1941-1945). The school also served as a refuge during the period. The Temple is crowded with worshippers when Guanyin opens her treasury durning Guanyin’s Treasure Opening Day (Je Fu 借庫 or 借富, borrowing money from Guanyin’s Treasure Box, or borrowing wealth from Guanyin). Since 1929, the temple has been managed by the Chinese Temples Committee.

Captured from my room at the Hotel Icon, this long-exposure shot showcases the vibrant light trails at the entrance of the Cross Harbour Tunnel in Hong Kong. Using a Nokia Lumia 1020 with a 1.4-second exposure and a tripod, I aimed to highlight the dynamic energy and constant motion of this iconic tunnel at night.
