Their vibe attracts their tribe ...

Small seed-eating bird of humid tropical lowlands; fairly common. Found in grassy and weedy areas and forest edges, often in same places as slightly larger Thick-billed Seed-Finch. In pairs or small flocks, mixing readily with Morelet's Seedeaters and other seed-eating birds. Note stubby bill (unlike Thick-billed Seed-Finch) and plain brownish olive plumage of female (not rich brown like seed-finch). Males in Mexico and most of Central America are black. In southern Central America and South America males have variable amounts of white on the underparts and rump, hence the name.

Glowing Full Moon in Hazy Sky on a hot humid night at Woy Woy, Central Coast, NSW, Australia

Humedeciendo emociones

Moistening emotions

To submerge in other states.

To be able to feel otherwise.

With our own weight we will sink.

Coming to the bottom from us.

Where the emotions are still intact.

Where throb so loudly that they were drying every drop.

Where our recollections are indelible.

There where, we want to moisten our emotions.

We'll meet again, with us.

Pale-edged flycatcher is found in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela, distributed throughout subtropical montane forest in the Andes.

This species is typically a bird of humid forests and is one of the few species of Myiarchus that is restricted entirely to humid montane forest.

ME. Teehee!

My usual self on a very sunny HOT humid day in Singapore. Ugh!!

No processed edit. Almost SOOC. just levels. crop a bit. Shoot by the boyfriend, concept me. LOL.

I am screwed because I missed 30 days of my Project 365 and I am kinda tired patching it up. IT DOES COME TO A POINT like that sadly to realized. And I know no one will noticed but me. Ha ha ha. But now that I have told you, throw the rotten tomatoes at me now. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

It made me sad to ponder really at some point how hell did I screw it up. I can come up with a number of life's realities' reasons (other than seeing my face all over the stream)..blah blah blah... but I kinda learned to LET GO..and no other way, but MOVE ON. =) But it doesn't mean I am stopping, NEVER. I will continue the count. Woot! So what? I am not breaking any RULES anyway ---just BENDING them! Hahaha =)

For as long as I am still sticking to my goal of being able to enjoy the whole process of LEARNING the ropes here. Teehee. And I am not ranting (I do sound a bit hahaha) but seriously, I will still continue this project for as long as I can. NO STRICT RULES but DELIRIOUSLY ENJOY. =) Right now, I am busy working on being able to expand my ideas on my Portrait collections and learn Street Photography. Yayyy!

So there. I'm done for Day 102. Maybe you'll see the 103rd next month? LOL

~~~
Tomorrow I go out in the streets to do stalker shots with the 18-200m. Ha ha. <3
Medium-sized woodpecker of humid evergreen forest and edge in tropical lowlands. Less numerous than larger and more conspicuous Golden-fronted Woodpecker, which often occurs in the same areas. Distinctive, with big black mask, white patch behind eye, black upper parts with narrow white bars, and big white rump patch. Male has full red crown. Female has greyish fore-crown and red hind-crown.
Most of my Costa Rican birds have been photographed at Tico Rainforest B&B. Here, the owner, Victor has documented over 200 different species on his small 2 hectare property. Great place for bird photograph
Medium-sized, grass-green toucan of humid tropical forest in foothills and highlands; also very locally in lowlands. Usually in pairs or small groups, moving through the canopy or feeding at fruiting trees. Nothing similar in its range. Note the rusty tail tips, best seen from below. Pattern of black and yellow on bill varies from region to region.
Humid, hot. Clothes stick to the skin. Best to take what can be taken from it. Winter always arrives sooner than I remember.
Mill River Florence, MA.
As we await the electrical storms at the end of another hot and humid day, reports of the savagery of various storm cells devastating towns and farms to the south-west of us begin to ping on our phones. Each ping raises the anxiety levels.
Then we check the radar images supplied by the Bureau of Meteorology as we see which path the storm may take. We relax if the path is going somewhere else, others to impact!
As the night begins to fall, and darkness exaggerates the lightning flashes, we all begin to calm knowing that hail is less likely as the temperature eases. For as the therms pumping latent heat into the cloud ease, so the dynamic turbulence in the thunderhead reduces.
No hail will be good, and the deluge of rain will be less intense. And we all go to bed to sleep peacefully, for the day is done and the rain has come.
La réserve naturelle domaniale d'Orti est localisée en Ardenne centrale, dans la vallée du ruisseau de Laval, à proximité de sa confluence avec l'Ourthe occidentale, au sud du village de Lavacherie, sur le territoire communal de Sainte-Ode. L'essentiel de ses quelque 6,5 hectares est occupé par une mosaïque de mégaphorbiaies et de prairies humides acidophiles à reine des prés (Filipendula ulmaria), jonc à tépales aigus (Juncus acutiflorus), comaret (Comarum palustre), succise des prés (Succisa pratensis), bistorte (Persicaria bistorta), valériane officinale (Valeriana officinalis), lysimaque commune (Lysimachia vulgaris) et bien d'autres plantes encore. Des massifs arbustifs se sont progressivement installés suite à l'abandon du site comme pré de fauche. Il s'agit souvent de saussaies marécageuses à saule à oreillettes (Salix aurita) là où le sol est le plus gorgé d'eau. A d'autres endroits, une jeune forêt feuillue évolue librement, notamment sous l'aspect d'une aulnaie-frênaie le long du cours d'eau. Un étang mésotrophe complète la palette d'habitats présents sur cette belle zone humide. Ce fond de vallée est fréquenté par une faune particulièrement remarquable, assez comparable à ce qu'on observe dans les autres sites encore bien préservés de la région. Une autre zone protégée, la ZHIB d'Orti, s'étale sur près de 4 ha juste à l'est, sur la rive opposée du ruisseau de Laval. Cette réserve domaniale est inscrite en presque totalité au réseau Natura 2000 dans le site BE34031 "Bassin moyen de l'Ourthe occidentale". Elle est aussi entièrement englobée dans les limites du Parc Naturel des Deux Ourthes.
The national nature reserve of Orti is located in the central Ardennes, in the valley of the Laval stream, near its confluence with the western Ourthe, south of the village of Lavacherie, in the municipal territory of Sainte-Ode. Most of its approximately 6.5 hectares is occupied by a mosaic of megaphorbiaia and acidophilous wet meadows with meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria), sharp-tepaled rush (Juncus acutiflorus), comaret (Comarum palustre), meadow succise ( Succisa pratensis), bistort (Persicaria bistorta), valerian (Valeriana officinalis), common loosestrife (Lysimachia vulgaris) and many other plants. Shrub beds have gradually settled in following the abandonment of the site as a mowing meadow. It is often swamp sassai with auricle willow (Salix aurita) where the soil is most waterlogged. In other places, a young deciduous forest evolves freely, notably in the aspect of an alder-ash forest along the watercourse. A mesotrophic pond completes the range of habitats present in this beautiful wetland. This valley bottom is frequented by a particularly remarkable fauna, quite comparable to what can be observed in the other still well-preserved sites in the region. Another protected area, the ZHIB d'Orti, extends over almost 4 ha just to the east, on the opposite bank of the Laval stream. This state reserve is almost entirely included in the Natura 2000 network in the BE34031 site "Middle basin of the western Ourthe". It is also entirely encompassed within the limits of the Deux Ourthes Natural Park.
Winnebago River - Clark's Woods
A cloudy humid day down at the dam, but very tranquil and pleasant. The new bridge doesn't swing like the old one use to . . . which made for some scary fun childhood memories.
The river flows along the east side of town and what is now called Clark's Woods. Growing up in the area, it was also known as East Woods. My bride and I enjoyed lunch along the river today.
No Golf Today . . . LoL
Higher temperatures and humidity + bread = mold
Parsonsfield, Maine.
Was a very hot and humid day here in Maine today and the sunset reflected that as it was setting behind some clouds on the horizon.
A slight mist in the air makes this image work.
Today is the first official day of #winter I think me have had enough already. This is my son clearing the front deck this morning.
Fuji Instax Mini film, by Mint TL70.
Photographie monochrome réalisée sur la côte vendéenne, aux Sables-d’Olonne.
L’image révèle une lumière diffuse glissant entre ciel et sable humide, où la jetée structure l’horizon tandis que quelques silhouettes humaines traversent l’espace.
Le paysage maritime se déploie dans une économie de formes et de contrastes, laissant apparaître une relation sensible entre la lumière, l’architecture côtière et la présence humaine, dans un moment suspendu entre terre et mer.
El Gorgo de la Escalera de Anna is a beautiful nature reserve near the village of Anna, about 70 km from the capital of Valencia. The waters of the River Sellent have formed this impressive gorge. Pools of gorgos in Valencian and several waterfalls have formed on this spot. There is a nice bypass to visit all three waterfalls. About an hour walk. You can hear the roar of the big waterfall, but you can't see it from the road because of the undergrowth. The first waterfall, Cascada del Salto, is directly accessible via 136 steps. Well worth going down the stairs, great for wading in crystal clear water in the summer. Look especially at the fish. In the cold water one can take a bath or just relax with the sight of the landscape and the sound of the water falling in the form of a waterfall into the depths of the ravine, once used for the production of electricity. You can cross the river at various places via stones and tree trunks or further on via a wooden bridge. The second waterfall is Cascada de los Vikingos and the third Gorgo Gaspar. From here you can return the same way you came, or climb a steep trail. The route is not long, but has difficult and slippery spots. Wearing good shoes is recommended. The place is very beautiful, green, humid, a surprising oasis in the steep gorge adjacent to the town of Anna. The corner it is in looks like a mini paradise.
The "Route of the Three Waterfalls" starts in the village of Anna in the province of Valencia. The concrete road turns to dirt as it enters the ravine. To the right of the bridge is Gorgo Gaspar. This is the first waterfall and pool on the route. From here, the path becomes more difficult and is also not signposted. The impressive Gorgo de los Vikingos is the second waterfall and pool. To follow the route, first, cross to the other side of the pool via the wooden planks. Then climb a steep, half-hidden path to the left of the waterfall. The route continues along the ravine, with the river on the left. At one point you’ll need to cross the wooden bridge over the river. You’ll have these views of Cascada Del Salto waterfall when crossing the bridge. The waterfall has a beautiful turquoise blue pool at its feet, and the huge natural pool. It’s framed by a natural amphitheatre with lush vegetation. Gorgo de la Escalera is a popular spot for water canyoning, hiking and wild swimming. Its double waterfall, the blue water and the natural luscious frame give it a magical air. The gorge is very steep.
El Gorgo de la Escalera de Anna is een prachtig natuurgebied in de buurt van het dorpje Anna, ongeveer 70 km van de hoofdstad van Valencia. Het water van de rivier de Sellent heeft deze indrukwekkende kloof gevormd. Op deze plek zijn poelen gorgo's in het Valenciaans en verschillende watervallen ontstaan. Er is een mooie rondweg om alle drie watervallen te bezoeken. Ongeveer een uur lopen. Je kunt het gebrul van de grote waterval horen, maar je kunt het vanaf de weg niet zien vanwege het kreupelhout. De eerste waterval, Cascada del Salto, is gelijk toegankelijk via 136 treden. Zeker de moeite waard om de trap af te dalen, geweldig om in de zomer in kristalhelder water te waden. Kijk vooral naar de vissen. In het koude water kan men een bad nemen of gewoon ontspannen met de aanschouwing van het landschap en het geluid van het water dat in de vorm van een waterval in de diepten van het ravijn valt, ooit gebruikt voor de productie van elektriciteit. Je kan op verschillende plekken de rivier overstekken via stenen en boomstammen of verderop via een hout bruggetje. De tweede waterval is Cascada de los Vikingos en de derde Gorgo Gaspar. Vanaf hier kun je op dezelfde manier terugkeren als je bent gekomen, of een steil pad beklimmen. De route is niet lang, maar heeft moeilijke en gladde plekken. Het dragen van goede schoenen wordt aangeraden. De plek is erg mooi, groen, vochtig, een verrassende oase in de steile kloof die grenst aan de stad Anna. De hoek waarin het zich bevindt lijkt op een miniparadijs.
Spectacular, large, and often conspicuous jay of tropical lowland forests, plantations, and semi-open areas with hedges and tall trees; prefers drier areas, but locally in rather humid situations. Usually in small groups and can be surprisingly inconspicuous if feeding quietly. At other times, unavoidably noisy and impossible to overlook. No similar species in range. Note crest, white face and throat, and long white-edged tail.
Orotina, Alajuela Province Costa Rica
Kookaburras are terrestrial tree kingfishers of the genus Dacelo native to Australia and New Guinea, which grow to between 28 and 47 cm (11 and 19 in) in length and weigh around 300 g (11 oz). The name is a loanword from Wiradjuri guuguubarra, onomatopoeic of its call. The loud, distinctive call of the laughing kookaburra is widely used as a stock sound effect in situations that involve an Australian bush setting or tropical jungle, especially in older movies.
They are found in habitats ranging from humid forest to arid savannah, as well as in suburban areas with tall trees or near running water. Though they belong to the larger group known as "kingfishers", kookaburras are not closely associated with water.[2]
A typical example for the humid and species-rich "Vierbeltet", a heath-like vegetation zone and the lowest of the three fjell sections.
Summer in Southern Indiana is not one of my favorites. However, sometimes I just had to deal with it.
Star Hill River Kwai Resort is riverside resort on the River Kwai among the most beautiful mountains in Kanchanaburi. Located on the hill and the riverside in the cool air and fog in the morning. The swimming pool on a hill offers a beautiful mountain and river view. This resort amazed me from the beginning. We had no idea what to expect. All I can say is - YES! The ride up the river in the longboat past spectacular scenery was just the beginning of an amazing adventure. The resort is rustic in keeping with the surroundings. You feel so close to the humid jungle when you stay in your little cute bungalows. Like Tarzan and Jane. Our bungalow was situated on a raft floating right on the river. The River Kwai runs directly near the resort garden. Oh.. the garden. It is a poem. The perfect place for reposal and relaxing, totally off the world. If you are stressed from the noisy, vivid and exhausting Bangkok, take a 3 hour ride to this oasis and come back deeply relaxed. The club house for dining and breakfast is made of wood and in the morning the hills around you welcome you foggy and the sun breaks through the thicket. It is breathtaking. The resort offers visitors several exciting river rafting trips on the River Kwai.
De provincie Kanchanaburi grenst aan Myanmar. In Kanchanaburi zijn twee militaire begraafplaatsen. Tegenwoordig is de provincie wereldberoemd vanwege de River Kwai Bridge, maar er is veel meer te ontdekken. Wat dacht je van schitterende oerwouden, kleine dorpjes, prachtige rivieren, bergen, nationale parken, watervallen en grotten. Onze Star Hill River Kwai Resort is prachtig gesitueerd nabij het National park Sai Yok, een goede reputatie onder reizigers met een interesse in bezichtiging van bezienswaardigheden, cultuur en romantiek. Een baken van rust en ontspanning. We verblijven op drijvende bungalows op de river Khwae noi. Dit resort is het perfecte verblijf op steenworp afstand van verschillende bezienswaardigheden. Sai Yok was de plaats waar het Japanse leger, tijdens de 2de Wereldoorlog, hun kamp vestigde. Restanten van deze kampen en trajecten van de wereldberoemde Doden Spoorlijn kunt u hier nog steeds terugvinden. Per raft kun je de Sai Yok rivier en de prachtige grotten bij Daowadung en Lawa bezichtigen. Enkele scenes van de film The Deer Hunter zijn op deze locatie opgenomen. 's Avonds kan je hier je hier heerlijk eten en is het hier echt heel mooi en gezellig met de verschillende olielampjes.
