This picture is 10 years old, but when I am at home during covid19, I look for older treasures and edit these pictures with today's technology.

I'm melting... I really can't stand the heat...

Taken yesterday morning, from the marina. These foggy sunrises are so peaceful and yet moody...i love 'em.

No sun today...it's pretty rainy and humid...

Sunny spells with cloud increasing in the afternoon with possible Thundery showers later...Very Humid...Moderate Winds and highs of 22 degrees C.

Sorry for the report being late....but l've been out walking the dogs for a few hours this morning.

Small, fast-flying parakeet of humid lowlands on the Pacific slope. Favors forest patches and fairly open country with hedges and tall trees, including towns and villages. Usually seen in pairs or small flocks; associates readily at fruiting and flowering trees with much larger and longer-tailed Orange-fronted Parakeet. Flight is distinctively bounding, not direct like larger parakeets. Plumage is green overall with bronzy shoulders; small orange chin patch is very hard to see.

This was taken on a day that I especially overreacted to the heat and humidity and cut all my hair off. I'm posting it to remind myself not to repeat history and do it again.

It's so hot outside I can't even manage to get my camera out the door lately. But this weekend I plan to get my groove back. As long as my camera doesn't melt, I'll be ready to rock!

Much of the landscape in this area has been changed by grazing, and "burning off" which was the graziers management tool. This window through the vine forest provides an outlook over the valley and the remnant forests to the mountains. This area is quite close to the east coast so it is quite humid and has good rainfall. Mt Borumba, the highest summit seen through this window is 624m elevation.

At almost noontime, my pet dog "Mia" opens her mouth and pushes her tongue out for a little while as she feels the uncomfortable heat brought about by the hot and humid weather condition.

For over a week now, lots of areas in the northern Philippines are continuously experiencing hot and humid weather from midmorning until early evening. Temperatures there have topped from 34 to 40 degrees Celsius with a heat index a little higher than those figures.

And the not-so-good news is, according to the state weather bureau, the hot days may continue throughout May or before the start of the rainy season.

humid morning sun up

Very small finch of humid evergreen forest and edge in tropical lowlands. Usually in pairs, which associate loosely with other euphonias, especially when feeding at mistletoe or fruiting trees. Both sexes bronzy green overall with deep rusty vent (extending into belly stripe on male). Forehead patch yellow on male and deep rusty on female.

A humid, foggy morning greeted me as I explored many beautiful miles of a two-lane road. I found this scene on another country backroad. This small barn was tucked away and almost completely hidden from sight.

Was a very hot and humid day here in Maine today and the sunset reflected that as it was setting behind some clouds on the horizon.

"Stacked Plates" is storm chasers jargon for us to describe a strongly striated mesocyclone! Oh this was a B E A U T Y!

Late August 2011. This was a LP (Low Precip) Storm, and she didn't drop an ounce of rain. If anything did come down it evaporated before it hit the ground. It was so damn hot and humid and was just happy the sun was blocked out by the clouds and then this came along. Along with the severe warning it had on it a few counties north of my location as it moved south.

You can clearly see the mid-level inflow bands. Better known as striations. These were so well defined it was jaw dropping!

When the storm got close enough I couldn't really see or verify a wall cloud of any type. We had a few lowerings, but nothing significant to get me to report it. So I really can't call this a supercell. But it sure was fun one to witness!

A humid May morning finds the Indiana & Ohio's Lima North Local rolling south out of Hamler, passing the classic DT&I code line poles, telephone box and high switch stand. A former BN GP50 leads one of the ex-CP SD40-2's on the return trip from a night of switching in Delta. Just a few months away from the G&W takeover, there was still plenty of color to be found on the I&O through the summer of 2012. Fast forward a year and this engine had been repainted into corporate orange and renumbered to IORY 5011. It definitely looked better in green. Oh yeah, and that guy in the engineer seat has moved on to bigger and better things, while I've moved into the conductors seat as the newest victim.

Humid day by the Crawfish River

When chasing an Indiana Railroad train on the Monon from Louisville to Jasonville, the appetizers for the main course of signal shooting started around Borden.

After these old searchlight signals, one could get their fill of the semaphores on the way north to Bedford. This line is dormant now.

It was a typical hot and humid afternoon in Southern Indiana but since this line was a few weeks away from being shut down at the time, I had to suck it up and deal with it. I'm glad I did.

Condensation settles on the windows near the entrances. It may look pretty out there, but the heat index has been over 100 for most of the summer so far. Yikes! Image has been cropped, lightened, saturated and contrasted to showcase the wet window.
