Irlanda - Anillo de Kerry - Acantilados
ENGLISH:
The Ring of Kerry (Irish: Mórchuaird Chiarraí) is a 179-km-long circular tourist route in County Kerry, south-western Ireland. Clockwise from Killarney it follows the N71 to Kenmare, then the N70 around the Iveragh Peninsula to Killorglin – passing through Sneem, Waterville, Cahersiveen, and Glenbeigh – before returning to Killarney via the N72.
Popular points include Muckross House (near Killarney), Staigue stone fort and Derrynane House, home of Daniel O'Connell. Just south of Killarney, Ross Castle, Lough Leane, and Ladies View (a panoramic viewpoint), all located within Killarney National Park, are major attractions located along the Ring. A more complete list of major attractions along the Ring of Kerry includes: Gap of Dunloe, Bog Village, Dunloe Ogham Stones, Kerry Woollen Mills, Rossbeigh Beach, Cahersiveen Heritage Centre, Derrynane House, Skellig Experience, Staigue Fort, Kenmare Lace, Moll's Gap, Ballymalis Castle, Ladies View, Torc Waterfall, Muckross House, The Blue Pool, Ross Castle, Ogham Stones, St Mary’s Cathedral, Muckross Abbey, Franciscan Friary, Kellegy Church, O’Connell Memorial Church, Sneem Church and Cemetery, Skellig Michael, Beehive Cells and the Stone Pillars marking an important grave.
There is also an established walking path named The Kerry Way, which takes its own route, and a signposted Ring of Kerry cycling path which uses older quieter roads where possible. The Kerry Way roughly follows the scenic driving route of the Ring of Kerry.
There are numerous variations to the route taking in St. Finian's Bay and Valentia Island which the official driving ring misses (the official cycling route takes in Valentia Island). As well as beaches, it also offers the Gap of Dunloe, Bog Village, Derrynane House, the Skellig Experience Valentia Island, Molls Gap, Torc Waterfall, Muckross House, and Ross Castle.
"The Ring" is a popular day trip and numerous bus companies offer circuits during the summer months. As the narrow roads make it difficult for tour coaches to pass, all tour buses run in an anti-clockwise (or counter-clockwise) direction, traveling via Killorglin first.

Este circuito cubre 170 km de carretera, formando un círculo que comienza en Killarney, flanqueando la península de Iveragh. Pasa por Kenmare, Sneem, Waterville, Cahersiveen y Killorglin, antes de volver a Killarney nuevamente desde el sur, y bordeando los lagos de Killarney y el Parque Nacional de Killarney.

También hay numerosas excursiones interesantes por el interior del anillo, menos transitadas. Existe la opción de recorrer el anillo en bicicleta o andando, en varias jornadas, así como la posibilidad de realizar excursiones organizadas que combinan barca, bicicleta y rutas a pie.

Credits are important to me as I don't make the stuff and Second Life would be very dull if it weren't for all the creators who do. The variety here is amazing. In a lot of ways, making a photograph here is like making a movie -- you need people who make stuff from trees to monsters to clothes to poses, people who create the sets, the actors (avators) and photographers. It is a wonderful collaboration between a lot of people that results in one photograph.... well, ok, a lot of photographs, lol.

For the first round of this year’s RogueOlympics over on RogueBricks I decided to build a little love letter to late nights and captivating books, a combination I would often be consumed by when I was younger. I hope you like it!
The RogueOlympics require you to stick to 101 elements or less so this little scene was built with a total of 92 bricks. It’s always great fun to work around those restrictions as it’s so different from most other contests, so of course I had to join.

This treehopper was filmed in the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador and measures only 6 mm in length. Treehoppers are insects related to cicadas and leafhoppers.
Most treehoppers have a highly modified pronotum on the back, in this case forming several hollow spheres and spines, which makes it unpalatable for potential predators. Moreover it resembles an ant which most predators rather avoid.
Treehoppers feed on plant sap which is rich in sugar. In the video the sucking mouthparts of the treehopper have penetrated the vein of a leaf.

This is a stacked version of "Thunderstruck" with other photos taken before and after the original photo. I combined them in Photoshop CS4 using a Star Trails action. Final processing done in Lightroom 2.
Another example of the great power of lightning in the mountains in Colorado. This storm was parked over Gunnison, CO on the night of September 12th. I was traveling from Creede, CO back to Gunnison, when near the Powderhorn Guest Ranches, I saw the lightning lighting up the dark night sky. Surprisingly, this was taken around 8:10pm. Surprisingly dark for that night, oh well the days are definitely getting shorted as fall approaches.
