I recently picked up some Chicken Tortellini by Olivieri and it was pretty good. Of course, I dressed it up a bit. I added some mixed vegetables and broccoli in a cream sauce, topped with Parmesan cheese. I'll have to do this again!

Pork with Muknee, and Pork with Ham Choy, are two popular dishes in Chinese Jamaican culture so why not combine them? I usually make Pork with Muknee AND Ham Choy. They complement each other so well, yielding a very delicious dish.
Are you familiar with these ingredients? How do you usually have them?

This simple Hakka style Pork Soup is my idea of good comfort food! The seasonings, of mostly dry ingredients (kale, shrimps, plums, green onions), are so simple but combine with the pork to make a very tasty broth.
The pork, dipped in a green onion and ginger sauce, was also very tasty. Some Chinese sausage, greens, and a bowl of white rice completed this rustic and delicious meal! Yummm!!!

I enjoy a good steak every once in a while, especially when I find them on sale!
I seasoned this one with Montreal Steak Spice and a little garlic. It was cooked on an indoor electric grill and served with mashed potatoes, carrots, and corn. It turned out pretty darn good!

Curry Chicken is a dish that I really like but I don't cook it very often. When I do, however, I prefer to use a Jamaican style curry powder which is a bit more yellow than other Caribbean styles. This dish was simple to prepare and turned out great!
Question: Is it Curry Chicken or Chicken Curry? What do you call it? Why? The debate rages on...

It's been a while since I've cooked Sweet and Sour Pork. This time, I breaded the pork in panko bread crumbs for added texture and cooked it in the air fryer. It was quick and much cleaner than deep frying in oil.
The simple sauce was made on the stovetop, with sugar, vinegar, light soy, ketchup (mainly for colour), water, and corn starch. It takes a little bit of fiddling to get the balance just right.
Salted Duck Eggs were the perfect contrast but also complemented this dish. Chinese Sausages are always good!

HOMEMADE DRESSING ✨
I’m convinced the dressing makes the salad
Don’t get me wrong, I use a variety of herbs 🌿 and greens and love all of them but there’s something about the dressing!
It’s something you can get so creative with and takes all of 5 min, literally!
It’s super handy and can save you a lot of money! And the best part, you know exactly what you’re putting in your body. No chemicals, no strange preservatives, nothing but nature’s magic ✨
THYME FOR LEMON 🍋
1 1/2 cups extra-virgin olive oil
🍋 3/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon
2 garlic cloves minced
🌿 Pinch of dry thyme
Salt & pepper to taste
So simple. So nutritious and delicious 😋
What’s your favorite?
