A hexagonal steel ring, size 7. This ring was made by grinding out a standard hardware store steel hex nut to size.
The ring weighs 0.8 oz (23 g), and measures just under an inch (0.94 in, 24 mm) across the facets and just over a half inch (0.54 in, 14 mm) in width.

Remains of a Celtic water shrine in the ancient Roman villa of Chedworth. Interestingly the holy hexagonal pattern seen here was later co-opted for the design of early Christian baptismal fonts in Britain.

I used template I cut from construction paper. I wanted large hexagons so these are 4 inches from flat side to the opposite flat side and about 3.5 inches from point to point. I discovered they are just a bit too big to use charm squares, so I cut some squares from stash fabric.
Originally started out as a cot quilt but has ended up bigger which is just as well because the recipient probably will be bigger too by the time it is finished.
