Press the hexagons with the template still inside. Wait for the template to cool. Bending the edge of the template, release several corners of the hexagon and remove the template.

Made for my super talented sister at fog and swell, aka westcoastcreative.blogspot.com/
she sends sewing "challenges" my way, and they usually become gifts back to her.
I don't think I'll do hexagons again. not the precise result I like.
I finally broke down and tried out hexagons! I used this great post over at The Sometimes Crafter and had no problems! Which is a miracle because I am a terrible hand-sewer. It was fun and great for the car!
Blogged about the psychological and emotional meaning behind my current hexagon project over at www.turningturning.com.
Each hexagon is about the size of a US penny coin.
Pattern: Hexed by Wooly Wormhead
Needles: US 8 & 7
Yarn: Artful Yarns Legend, Blackbeard
Henry's Attic Prime Alpaca, charcoal
Lion Brand Wool-Ease, charcoal
Modifications: worked a 72 st hexagon instead of 60, to get gauge. Squeaked by with just enough Legend for the hexes. Inches left. Alpaca and Wool-Ease held together for a k1p1 brim. I may redo that in black, to avoid conflicting tones of grey.
Loving the mini-boucle of the Legend; it works up into a seamless, scrunchable, fluffy little hexagons.
Panorama of Cassini images using the CB2, MT2, and MT3 channels, which tend to give Saturn a lovely orange cast... The CB2 channel adds a lot of detail to the north pole hexagon and vortex.
I designed this hexagon clutch today!! I AM IN LOVE!!
