My first attempt at a flagstone! Came out alright. Made out of sugar paper with baby oil on to make it more translucent.

I used a Hero Arts Digital Cut Design, " hexagons; hi flower" silhouette Id #38551 and HA CL611 to create this card for this months challenge. The pp is My Minds Eye "Be Happy". Mini Hearts came from Simon Says Stamp.
Pattern: English Paper Piecing hexagonal quilt
Materials: All kinds of fabric. In particular pistachio greens, aqua blues, dots with some barkcloth for good measure.

I quilted the centre panel to add texture and am now hand stitching the hexagons. Once the applique is completed I'll trim the panel to size. Hope you like what you are seeing!
Thought I would have a go at making some pincushions using hexagons. All handsewn which took longer than expected. Pleased with the result though.
Making progress toward my quilt comprised of hexagon flowers, all using different prints. This jar holds 106 flowers, each made with 7 hexagons (3/4") that are hand-pieced (742 hexies total). Represents about 80 hours of time.
Remembered another little hexie project ... flower hexagons are 7/16" (handcut) along each straight edge.
I decided the little star piece was just too small to make very many ... this might end up on the top or end of a pencil or make-up case. The lavender hexagon in the middle measures 7/8" on each side. The little diamonds are 7/16"
