Making english paper pieced hexagon coaster sets for my mother to gift to family for Christmas. I'm using the most adorable reproduction 30s fabrics. This is most of the hexagons ready for the second set.

19030's reproduction Grandmother's Flower Garden crib quilt made out of nearly 500 1.25inch sided hexagons. Lovingly handpieced using freezer paper EPP technique and whip stitch for my unborn daughter.

Hexágonos multicoloridos em croché para uma manta de cama de criança

Size; 1/4". I've just passed 3000 hexies.

The hexies are really big; 2"

I'm always fascinated by shapes that are thrown up in nature such as the hexagon structure within this friendly fly's eye!

I've been wanting to do some more hexagons for a while now.

Trying to figure out as many possible ways to tessellate each waterbomb molecule. Recent conversations with Beth Johnson's have encouraged me to resume my waterbomb studies of way back when, and this is a set of CP's that I'm doing for the write-up. I've stumbled across some interesting assortments that I hadn't encountered before, which I am excited about.

Yes, this is the only "legal" assortment of hexagonal waterbombs I could think of, though I'd be interested in seeing other solutions!

Best to be viewed in full-size. Drawn with Inkscape.

A few rosettes waiting to be assembled into a quilt top. I don't know what it is about hexagons, but I can't stop sewing them!

Sheesh, I was starting to think that I'd never begin. It's not much, but it's a start...

FINALLY finished this project I started over a year ago...just had to get back to it.

lace hexagons and a new newsletter here

I have been making hexagons here and there over the past few of weeks while waiting in the carpool line, the dentist office and any other moment that I am out and about and having to wait in the car. It has turned out to be a great take-along project!

A variation on the hexagon sketch.

For Erika Knight Patchwork Throw.

I just origaminized this dissection puzzle. The 6 puzzle pieces are folded from five A4 copy papers. No diagrams yet.

This is just 1 of the many possible solutions. More can be found can be found at this Italian site - www.giocomania.org/pagine/18128/pagina.asp

I made this bag for a fundraising raffle (in support of a local nonprofit). The weather has been super cold and crappy lately, and I ran out of time to fuss over the pictures as I usually do. I didn't bother with my tripod, just used a high ISO and said 'good enough!'.

The dark grey fabric is wool or a wool blend. The plaids are from cotton shirts that I cut up. All of these fabrics are from thrift stores.

I hand pieced the hexagons using the English paper piecing method. Each side measures 1 inch. After I removed the paper, I machine quilted the hexagon panel onto a scrap of muslin. Then I trimmed it square and pieced the wool around it

I'm very proud of how it turned out! The plaids mesh really well and pop quite nicely against the grey.

I designed and created this hexagon quilt for a class that I will be teaching at Quilter's Way in Acton, MA. I used the Hex N More ruler to make the hexagons.

Fabric: Kona cotton, Quilt Blocks, Simply Color, Cuzco, Good Fortune and more.

Thread: So Fine! for the hexagons and Aurifil for the background.

I was so very excited when I finally crocheted the first hexagon onto the second row.

To get past the first line was very cool. And makes me think I might actually finish.....one day.

Today I made some black and white hexies.....because I love them.

My fold of a wonderful model

EH paper, 64 division grid, 20 cm diameter resulting model.

I tried it first with a different paper (muresco transparent), but I had to abandon it (too difficult to manage in such small grid).

I´ll try to upload a better picture later.
