During Christmas I have made several of these flowers to put into my mini hexagon quilt. It is growing, but certainly not fast.
This is a hexagon afghan that I just started, I have many more rows to go. I'm using an H hook and Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Cherry Red, White, Royal Blue and the variegated yarn is called Stars and Stripes. I got the pattern from a vintage Afghan magazine that I bought on Ebay, The original pattern showed it done up in all browns but I thought this pattern would look awesome in Red White and Blue. .

I like this pattern so much I had to do it again. But it had to be different from the other one I made. This is how its going to be.

Trying to figure out as many possible ways to tessellate each waterbomb molecule. Recent conversations with Beth Johnson's have encouraged me to resume my waterbomb studies of way back when, and this is a set of CP's that I'm doing for the write-up. I've stumbled across some interesting assortments that I hadn't encountered before, which I am excited about.
Yes, this is the only "legal" assortment of hexagonal waterbombs I could think of, though I'd be interested in seeing other solutions!
Best to be viewed in full-size. Drawn with Inkscape.
A few rosettes waiting to be assembled into a quilt top. I don't know what it is about hexagons, but I can't stop sewing them!
