Finished the hexagon windows inside and out. The kit came with them, but I only used the frames and made my own mullions. Oh the teeny tiny pieces...28 of them. I'm so glad I'm done with windows! Retiring from windows forever, lol
Back of the pillow. I especially love this fabric from Lecien. I forgot the name of this fabric. Can anyone tell me?
The lace was added at the very last minute when i started sewing the binding. Something was lacking I thought so I rummaged through my cupboard and found this beautiful lace.
I'm finally done sewing this pillow. All the hand stitching took me quite some time but I'm very happy when I finished sewing it!
One of a number of hexagonal light posts in Koblenz. Seen from below, they appear to be an abstract construction or a reminiscence of UFOs, kind of! I just liked the look of it!

I guess there's a shoe element here, too. One of the best pictures ever taken of me. Thanks, Mrs. v!
Entry-way tile lettering is my current favorite type of signage. That's probably a good thing; when I was looking up above street level, I had a tendency to step in all sorts of awful crap. Of course, now that I'm looking straight down, I walk into poles and mailboxes instead. Oh well, I guess it's an occupational hazard.

I wanted to try a half hexagon quilt as another alternative for my quilt for DQS9. I think I like this better than the first one.
Tomorrow I'll add the borders and get it quilted and bound by the end of the week.
We got a dusting of snow last night, along with a healthy dose of wind. This is our doormat on the back porch.
Little hexagonal structures I found while building the spaceship. Maybe someone else will also find them useful. I ended up using the two on the left.
Leftmost is definitely my favorite; it's stable and allows for several ways of building off of it.
Middle left is stronger than you might think, but I mostly used it because it was the first that worked for what I needed. Gotta be careful not to put too much strain on the clips.
Middle right isn't as solid as I'd like, the skeleton arms can be squeezed out of alignment by overcoming the clip friction.
Right one is quite strong and resilient but also the least useful, at least for my purposes.
hexagon block made for November's bee modern swap. I was totally inspired by all of Tacha's hex blocks and shamelessly copied her style! I have more respect for her than ever after doing this block. ;)

The Macro Mondays theme for this week is "Hexagon". Photo of a Plastic pencil sharpener in a spark plug socket.
I have been thinking about props for portrait photography for ages and I stumbled across a video of someone who made a hexagon for people to sit inside. I thought this was a lot more fun than a simple square. So this is the product of my rather shoddy woodworking skills and a little bit of Photoshop magic!
The cat was more than slightly bemused by the whole situation....

Columns like these form in a lava flow that cools very slowly, which allows it to form these hexagonal shapes.
The Hexagons Pool (Hebrew: בריכת המשושים, Breichat HaMeshushim) is a natural pool in the Meshushim Reserve, part of the Yehudiya Forest Nature Reserve, in the central Golan Heights.
The pool, at the bottom of a canyon, is named after the shape of the hexagonal basalt columns that make up its walls. This geological formation was created by the slow cooling of layers of lava flows over a long period. When the lava solidified and cooled, it was split into polygonal shapes due to its contraction.
