Even though the storm has passed, the recovery from Hurricane Matthew continues. Many of us were extremely lucky to receive only minor damage but not all of our neighbors were as fortunate. As part of the effort to help, Team Rubicon has been working with recruits from the Virginia Beach Fire Department in this home in Windsor Woods to facilitate their recovery.

Operation Blessing is also organizing volunteers to work in the community. If you would like to help, call (757) 284-9183. Volunteers will meet at CBN Corporate Support Building, 977 Centerville Turnpike, Monday through Saturday. Registration is 8 a.m., orientation is 8:30 a.m.

A cold and dark overnight visit to Leeds for another project meeting. Didn't stay out long after leaving the pub tonight. I was still walking with one crutch and thecity centre seems a bit more uncomfortable at night when you know you can't move away quickly.

Locating the Court-appointed lawyer for my latest case at the Evelpidon Court, proved to be immensely challenging, taking six months and requiring complaints to be filed with the Athens Bar Association and in-person visits to their offices.

My 27th trial resulted from my attempt to reach the European Commission office in Greece in person on Nov. 24th, 2022. However, I was escorted off the premises by a dozen police officers, two of whom later charged me with unsubstantiated claims after my transfer to the district police station. But none of them were present on the day of the trial or prior proceedings.

Although my lawyer motioned for dismissal due to lack of evidence and improper Police procedures, the motion was denied. Nevertheless, the Court ultimately ruled in our favor due to lack of evidence.

Despite my exoneration, the likelihood of a repeat occurrence is high due to past incidents. Legal assistance is uncertain.

I don't think any of my flickr friends want to see photos of humans interfering with wild animals. The truth is ... we've mucked up our planet to the extent that sometimes baby creatures need a helping hand. I've chosen only photos showing babies in caring, respectful situations; no plastic gloves ... no dirty cages ... onlly gentle helping hands sometimes necessary for survival itself.

It always makes me happy to see disabled people getting a helping hand. The shop is in Salisbury Square called Accessorize and the ramp was produced without any fuss and the shoppers was able to gain access.

We done Accessorize for their service to our community.

The helping hand ...

Our vehicles weren't the only things getting stuck on the muddy tracks in the Kumana jungle. Every now and then one of us would sink down into the mud and would need a helping hand to get out.

*dedicated to my friend Grace. I hope I have been there enough for you. I care for you buddy :D

Forever you're my foundation I know

I can keep

Told I was good for nothing

Branded a cheat

Now I know why you listen

I can help you anytime

Love is all there is

I wonder what you people do with your lives Hey!

Oh! I wonder what you people do with your lives

Once more this will be forever

I can't withhold secrets

I know I'm going where the sun always shines

I know my son we've made it

It can't escape my mind

I know my star is a brighter star, brighter star

Forever be in my arms

This could be a myth in the making

Under a spell

Down to ambition

I guess you could even call it a miracle

I see my true love coming

My little bundle of joy

I can help you realise

Its us and us only

I know I'm as good as my neighbour

A starter for ten

I can't promise I will always be with you

I promise I'll always be there

Oh! I wonder what you people do with your lives!

When you find it, you'll feel it

I'll give you all of my love

Hold it, Don't lose it, Misuse it

As long as you believe enough

My mind is multiplying

I have so much to give

I wouldn't estimate you for the way that you want to live

forever

This is an edit as requested in the Helping Hands group here: www.flickr.com/groups/helping_hands_photo_editing_and_pho...

Editing Steps:

1. Opened in PSE 8 and used the clone tool set to Lighten at about 30% opacity and lightened the scratches and imperfections on her face.

2. Imported into Lightroom 3 Beta and applied the Cream & Sugar preset.

3. Made adjustments to Clarity/Sharpening/Luminance & Color Detail and lessened the vignette.

4. Used the adjustment brush set to Iris Enhance on her eyes, slightly upped the exposure/saturation/clarity and sharpness.

5. Exported to PSE 8 and cloned out distracting yellow portion on the left hand side.

6. Resized to 5x7

Hunger For Love :

"Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier. " - Mother Teresa

Friends I have been so very busy at work and home, hardly get much time to upload photos.

This shot was taken during my recent trip to Jaipaiguri, India .

I was walking in the muddy paddy fields , with my heavy camera bag and sandle. While crossing a small creek, my feet got stuck in the water and to save the camera I jumped , but couldn't. My sandle got stuck in the muddy water.

These 3 kids were working in the nearby rice field , and seeing my condition, they ran towards me for help. One took my bag , one pulled me up and the other went in the muddy water and fetched my sandle.....In return all they requested is a photo.....

Along along during my school years I have been in close proximity with Mother Teresa, she used to come to our school and preach us.....for some reason this incident reminded me of her and her words...

In the eve of children day , dedicate this photo to all kids who are working to save their families.

The Shot :

Single shot, hand held capture .

This is not an HDR image.

I would also like to thank all my Flickr friends , last week crossed more than a Million hits, I can't wait to see your beautiful captures...
