Over 25 shopping carts reside in this section of the stream! We can certainly use your help! Please mark your calendars for our cleanup of the Historic Bread and Cheese Creek on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Rain or Shine, we clean up the southern section of Lynch cove Run. Registration will be next to Grange Elementary School at 2000 Church Road, Dundalk, MD 21222 (Look for our tents and signs). This event will be run in conjunction with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay’s Annual Project Clean Stream and American River’s Nation River Cleanup as well as Reclaim the Bay! We have also attached an event flyer for your use.
We run our cleanups as a family event with plenty of ways for volunteers to participate. We welcome every type of person of every ability level to contribute and assist with the cleanup. Though it is true we will need people to dig out shopping carts and haul trash to the dumpsters, we need people to run water, food, tools, and trash bags (both empty and full) to individuals in the creek. People to sort recyclables from the debris removed. People will be needed to help at registration, setup food and snacks as well as many other less strenuous activities. We are also authorized to sign-off on Community Service and Service Learning Hours for students. The more people we have, the easier the work will be for everyone. We will provide lunch and snacks as well as gloves. A limited number of tools are available for sign-out, but suggest bringing your own if you have them
Volunteers are also needed to arrive early and stay late for setup and break down. Photographers and Videographers also needed!

At Michigan and Van Buren Streets. I was riding my bike in front of this car when there was a loud pop. Fumes started coming out from under the hood and it smelled something awful. This poor kid looked must have been 16 years old. Looks like he and his girlfriend were probably headed to the fireworks when his car broke down. Worse yet he had about 6 blocks of cars backed up behind him. Luckily he got some help.

My camera is broken.
Error 99? As I was shooting, my camera stopped working it said "error 99" So I turned it off and on, switched the lenses, and tried a new battery, nothing worked! So I look it up online, and nothing helps, so then I get memory card out and try to put the pics onto my computer, which didnt work, I had to go out and buy a some kinda card reader. I heard to do a firmware update, which I cant do, so my camera isnt working, nothing has helped. My 365 may or may not stop, all I have is a film, and a point shoot, the point and shoot sucks and Im not happy about this. I dont wanna stop, I feel like Im letting myself, and others down, but is it really my fault? I found the most wonderful place to shoot, and of course, nice weather, but my camera decides to break, awesome. Im sending it off to Canon. Im sorry, I guess Ill be attempting to do it with a point shoot, wish me luck.

IAIS engineer Bob Reed, Jr. helps his granddaughter blow the whistle of IAIS 705. Prior to departing, employees were allowed to take their kids (or grandkids) for a visit in 705's cab to blow the whistle and ring the bell.
Bob Reed, Jr. will retire on June 22 with 21 years of service on the IAIS.

I had a very upsetting day today. As i opened my front door to take Madison to school, this little cat was curled up on the grass in my front garden, she lifted her head up, and i saw her eye, she was still in the same place when i came back, she was shivering and shaking, skin and bones and in a bad condition, so i patted her head and told her to come in for some food, she was very unsteady and weak but she managed to walk up 5 steps into my hall. Calling my husband to come and look at her we got a old duvet for a bed for her and i gave her a small amount of cat food and some water, we were both so upset by her condition. We have no idea where she came from or what happened to her. She settled down for a good warm sleep. We then spent all morning phoning round trying to get help for her. We tried and tried phoning the RSPCA and we couldn't get through, we phoned every cat sanctuary, they were all full to bursting point. So we waited until after dinner 2pm to phone the RSPCA inspector and we managed to get through. They arrived at 3 pm to take her for vet treatment. I asked if i could ring them tomorrow to see how she was and the RSPCA lady said there was only a slim chance she would make it as she was in such poor condition, she thought she was quite elderly and probably had kidney disease, or cat flu, i had kept Pips well away from her anyway i wasn't taking any chances...So i will phone tomorrow anyway to see.

Moments ago, her chin was resting on my left wrist as i typed. as time progresses my keyboard slides more to the right until i'm looking sideways at my monitor. I toss her off my desk at least a dozen times a day. I favor the two-handed, over the back of my head cat drop. sometimes there is cursing.
