January 30, 2020, students from the Oklahoma School for the Blind help serve patrons at the Sapulpa Lions Bean Dinner.
All of these funkified seventies pictures were taken from a withdrawn library book called modern publicity 42. It was bound in 1972 in the Netherlands by Drukkerji. I'm so glad I found it (FREE!)- it's filled with delightful and strange pictures of posters,press advertisements, typefaces, book jackets , direct mail, trademarks, company reports and more. It was headed for the freebie/discard pile. I'm glad I nabbed it.
Climbing an unnamed road up to Trefor Granite Quarry at the northern coast of the Llŷn Peninsula, in Gwynedd, Caernarfon, Wales to deliver a Mobile Mini or Algeco box to a supposed Game of Thrones film set to-be.
We hit a bit of a snag! 800 (2624.6ft) or so metres up this road, at around 150m (492.1ft) elevation 16% slope (according to Google Earth), the DAF CF 530 of JPL loses traction in some gravel and can't continue the climb on her own.
It began to rain quite a bit.
There was a dump truck up at the top that had to help us finish the rest of the 1.03km (3379.2) climb. To be fair to this DAF CF, she made most of it on her own weighing around 28tonnes with the 2 tonne box on her back! Sadly, auto gearbox and losing traction in loose gravel hindered the rest of her climb.

Yep, yep, yep.......got over a FOOT of snow again today.....haven't heard the final total as of yet. Jack LOVES the snow and goes crazy! It's too funny when he runs in it then "disappears" because it's sooo deep! It was the HEAVY- WET stuff this time! EVERYONE who tries to come down our street, get stuck!

This impressive poster was hung up at train stations and in trains in Switzerland in the 1970s. However, the FJM organization (friends of young women) behind it has existed since 1886. The aim was to protect young women from human trafficking and prostitution. This dates back to a time when young women set off without a destination or contacts to find a job in larger cities. Maids in private homes and hotels or waitresses were in demand everywhere. The organization offered help in its own homes called Martha houses. In Basel, Bern, Biel, Buchs, Brig, Chiasso, Genève, Lausanne, Olten, Romanshorn, St. Margrethen and Zürich. Support was also offered to other people under the name SOS Train Station Aid. Strangers, older people or people who appear insecure. Since 1999 the association has been called Compagna and continues to offer travel companions to this day. There are various other posters from all eras. This one hangs in the Locorama in Romanshorn. Switzerland, June 9, 2024.

My camera is broken.
Error 99? As I was shooting, my camera stopped working it said "error 99" So I turned it off and on, switched the lenses, and tried a new battery, nothing worked! So I look it up online, and nothing helps, so then I get memory card out and try to put the pics onto my computer, which didnt work, I had to go out and buy a some kinda card reader. I heard to do a firmware update, which I cant do, so my camera isnt working, nothing has helped. My 365 may or may not stop, all I have is a film, and a point shoot, the point and shoot sucks and Im not happy about this. I dont wanna stop, I feel like Im letting myself, and others down, but is it really my fault? I found the most wonderful place to shoot, and of course, nice weather, but my camera decides to break, awesome. Im sending it off to Canon. Im sorry, I guess Ill be attempting to do it with a point shoot, wish me luck.

Moments ago, her chin was resting on my left wrist as i typed. as time progresses my keyboard slides more to the right until i'm looking sideways at my monitor. I toss her off my desk at least a dozen times a day. I favor the two-handed, over the back of my head cat drop. sometimes there is cursing.
This is a 18-foot by 12-foot nylon flag that I laid out for Capitol. This huge flag is a promotional item for The Beatles HELP! DVD which goes on sale tomorrow (remastered). This flag is going to be hoisted up the Capitol flag pole tomorrow by Ringo Starr. After it's flown for 2 weeks, it's going to be auctioned off on eBay with a certificate of authenticity (signed by Ringo) and deluxe packaging. All the proceeds go to charity. It's a really cool thing. I'm proud of work for investing money in a charity (even though it's great publicity at the same time). Pics from tomorrow's ceremony... tomorrow.
