A young Japanese girl in Union Square asking for donations and help for the victims of the devastating earthquake.
Please help me ID her. I thought she was Fiona Hamilton from the Runway Gio but she is a bit different. She is taller than my M9 and her head is in a different position. Her arms are probably incorrect because they won't go to her side. They only fit by sticking out as pictured. She just arrived and is making me crazy! Thanks for your help.

I am looking for advice on places to get quality prints at good prices... whether it is ok to order from someplace (where???) on the internet that is noted for quality nature prints, or better to look more locally. I live aways from the big city of Portland with lots of options!
How about the Flickr printing option... anyone use that and have feedback??/
I SOLD SOME!!! I was so excited, now I want to do more! I suppose I better get a business licence next and keep track of receipts. I am using the money from this sale to get some mats and prints, so I can put some in local fairs this next month...
Also wondering about any leads to online tutorials or info on matting photos so they look really nice for selling..
OR suggestions on good ways to sell prints... places to get postcards or cards made...
anyone have experience with selling through Flickr, how is that working?
Can anyone share info with me on putting signatures on photos?
I know so little!!!!
Oh yeah, and I want to make a good business card ... any suggestions?
I am not a "bird nerd", one of those persons going everywhere with a binocular around their neck and knowing every single little detail about every bird passing by. I find birds very fascinating creatures and some of them are so beautiful to take one's breath away. That's why I photograph them. Even when I do not know which species they are.
GreenDreamsPhotography is a bird nerd :) and is trying since long time to convince me to embrace this "religion". Last attempt has been the promise of buying me dinner at a Japanese place I like, but with one condition: I need to find out which bird is this little fella here :)
Anyone care to help?
p.s.: deadline is today!!!
p.s.2: I did not get the free dinner ... the help arrived too late :(
Says it all really. That picture has not been Photoshopped in any way. My camera is fucked. Every picture has this funky effect on it. Not good. Can anyone help me get to the bottom of the problem?
I've got a Samsung NV10 which I love, and it's about 2 years old. There's nothing wrong with the lens as the video bit works fine. I haven't got a new memory card or anything, it just suddenly started doing this one day. It's driving me a little bit mad. Can anyone help?
She sliped and fall, and he... well, someone suggested he looks threatening due to his covered face. So, what is that outlaw doing to her?

Can anyone decipher the street address in this clipping from Ellis Island? I think it *might* be 8401 Mackinaw, but I'm really unsure.
Below is the full letter from my Slovakian correspondent, whose grandfather lived in South Chicago early in the last century.
----
My grandfather, Andreas Hatala *1871 was in USA for 3 times. He worked at Pullman´s and in some iron works. I guess in US STEEL. He lived at 8533 Buffalo Ave. in Chicago.
I'm not able to read the second address from the Ellis Island notes. Via internet I met Eric who was so kind and helpful and gave me several information and photographs. Thank you, Eric! Nevertheless there are still some questions unanswered:
- Finding out how long he worked while his stays in Chicago. I know the exact dates of his arrivals to USA /Ellis Island/, I don´t know the departure date from the USA. Where can these recordings be found?
- Perhaps there is someone who has the picture of the house at 8533 Buffalo ave., that was demolished in about 2000. I'd love to see the house.
- Could anybody help me translate the address that my grandfather lived at?
- Will I gain the picture of the house at this address?
The dates of his arrivals to the USA: 10.October 1901, 3.Januar 1909, 29.May 1913.
Thank you very much for any information!

This charity event which started on March 20th to April 20th.
the donation for the relief and recovery of the Japanese earthquake and Pacific tsunami.
Found him in Laredo, TX in early April. Photo taken by Claudia Camano....my research partner. It was a pretty cool morning so I assume this was his "sleeping" pose since I touched him and he didnt move. Later in the he woke up, I took a pic and let him go.
I feel like I can't build worth anything and whenever I do it comes out like crap. The only thing I can build successfully is a vehicle, but I don't have the extra supply of parts to do that. I feel like I have no skill really. I'm kinda just here on flickr to watch everybody else and what they can do. I'm not much of a customizer, and I'm not great at purist figs. Anything I build comes out in a box and baseplates because I don't have the knowledge of how to build otherwise or the parts for details. Help me out....
