If, like me, you always have sourdough toss-off on your hands, don't toss it down the drain! Whip up these tender, slightly tangy cookies and stuff them with whatever chocolate goodies you have around the house (with Valentine's and Easter on either side of us, there's lots to choose from!).

Another look at the Thai school kids enjoying fresh cut fruit at the motorcycle mounted cart outside the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. It was nice to see these Thai kids snacking healthily on fresh cut fruit and not on all those cheesy, fatty carb laden junk food. Located in western Thailand, Kanchanaburi is a good place for travelers of all kinds; from nature lovers to history buffs. Those who pass by can watch the (in)famous Kwai (also spelt Kwae) River flow gently past, oblivious to all the bloodshed and of the tragic history of Thailand during World War II. Kanchanaburi is in fact generally associated with these tragic events- notes about all these appear as we go along, throughout this album. (Kanchanaburi, Thailand, Oct. 2008)
These are like magic. No need for recipe. Use a sharp knife and slice these into quarter-thick slices, toss in olive oil (use sparingly!), arrange on a baking sheet, and bake at around 350F for 10-20 minutes.
So perfectly crispy if you slice them just right. Trust me please try it please try it please try it.
