Baked macaroni and cheese that is guilt free - well it's almost guilt free. But you can feel good about eating this mac and cheese because it has some really healthy surprises in it. Recipe: mymansbelly.com/2010/01/08/almost-guilt-free-mac-and-cheese/
This being Try-it Tuesday (accdg to me), I poached an egg for the first time. Then I framed it on befunky.com, also for the first time. Two tries, two victories. A good egg day! (The egg I ate was fully cooked, of course, and didn't have the yolk exposed.)

White Asparagus marinaded in olive oil and white balsamic vinegar , then gently roasted in the oven. This recipe makes an incredibly delicious side dish that pairs well fish, chicken or beef. Try the distinct flavor of white asparagus served with a shaving of parmesan and lemon zest.

Everything is added and blended now. I will cook it on low for hours and let it steam out lots of the water. I will turn it off before going to bed and tonight when I get up I will reboil it and put it in a container to eat tomorrow. This is kind of like chili and tastes much better the next day after the flavors blend together. It is sort of the opposite of oriental cooking where things maintain seperate flavors. Each has their place.
There are many who prefer not to fry food. However, it’s a myth that this type of cooking is unhealthy. It’s the amount of oil or butter added to the dish, which alters the healthy balance, and a good non-stick pan will make all the difference.

Fruit juice-infused sparkling water and dessert salads at the ready, blueberry compote open to add to the muffins.
The meat is put back on the stove and I opened the cans for the rest of the soup. Corn, sliced mushrooms, navy beans, and baby butter beans will constitute the body of the soup. I drained the liquid from the corn and mushrooms, but not the beans. The juice in the canned beans is great and you need to dump the whole can in the pot.
