SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS ALONE!

1. Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2. BY THIS GOSPEL YOU ARE SAVED, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

I am the gate; whoever enters through me WILL BE SAVED. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10. The thief comes only to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY; I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL. (John 10:7-10)
Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus died that death for YOU and I. The good news is there no more punishment for sin left, we were and are all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

Having been given permission back out onto the main, the engineer on the "Rosario Local" throttles up his two SD40s while the brakeman waits to re-line the derail once the short train is clear. They've just finished switching Nustar Asphalt, which can be seen in the far right of this shot. This track is part of the pre-1966 AT&SF alignment, which generally followed the Rio Galisteo from near its confluence with the Rio Grande towards Lamy.
This was the culmination of a one year long desire and about a four hour wait. I had seen this shot in my head ever since beginning my time qualifying out of Albuquerque, but it was either "they don't run up here anymore" or (once regular, predictable service resumed) I was always working when this job was working. Everything fell together today though, and it was worth waiting for!

Me and my friend obtained photo evidence that we are in an evil simulation. No we are not famous, you think anyone exposing the truth would be famous in this realm of a billion lies?
They hid pieces of the truth in fiction movies like The Matrix because it is easier for them to say someone has a 'big imagination' if that person sounds like they are talking about a movie. And they want us to think the people in these movies have it worse than us. But do they? Immense torture is possible in this world. The ones who trapped us here are evil. If anyone good had any sort of power, they would have saved us long ago!
What have you done? You evil entities and human agents... are disgusting. I don't know how us true souls will escape reincarnation and captivity but I will tell as many people as I can despite how sick and weak you made me. So maybe one day we can be FREE. <3

The water was so shallow and warm that event with 10m distance I had air swirl :/
I have set myself a lockdown challenge too only take photos in my garden or from my garden. It is going to be interesting to see what effect this has on my photographic skills. With no travelling involved I will be able to take advantage of the change in the light conditions, and hopefully this will help me improve my eye for a composition.

Having seen the train down in Palu we drove (carefully down the hill haha) down to Beyhan station to find DE33 071 and DE24 356 still waiting with their mixed freight. A chat with the driver whilst the second man went to the local shop revealed what we assumed in that the train was headed for Tatvan. Beyhan is a small village in the Murat valley, located near to a fairly new dam. A key feature of the village that couldn't be missed off a photo is the local mosque. Quite an impressive building! It seems however that the station has some posts erected maybe for the planned electrification of the route? Not great at all if so!
Windows of Opportunity" have been on my mind a lot. We are tentatively scheduled to take a May tour of Bryce & Zion canyons with Road Scholar in May of 2022. The COVID numbers are rising. If I were in my 40's , I would wait and say that there would be other opportunities "when life becomes more normal (safe)". I am in my mid-70's and healthy. There is still the thought in the back of my mind as to how many windows of opportunity will be in my future. We will decide as the time draws nearer.
I am reflecting, not complaining. We have weathered the pandemic well and our living situation is comfortable. I have also had many opportunities in the past to experience other places. The Irish rover in my genes still longs for a look beyond my present horizon, however, and it's a nagging feeling.
There will be one other post in this "windows of opportunity" series.
Until now, I had only seen the exoskeletons of Cicadas on some tree trunks. At the end of 2024, I discovered a Greengrocer Cicada (Cyclochila australasiae) and, more recently, this Floury Baker Cicada (Aleeta curvicosta), seen here on a Gaillardia bloom. Now, some of the Summer sounds around me have a name and an image :) /

Fin 2024, j'ai decouvert celle que l'on appelle "Greengrocer" en Australie et, dernierement, cette petite nouvelle appelee "Floury Baker" Comme il en existe plus de 700 especes en Australie, il me reste du chemin a faire avant de les connaitre toutes :)

My old friends, Though I have not spent time lately due to the pressures of life but I must do so as it is so rewarding especially a bird so skittish and difficult to photograph well.
Reduced in numbers over most of their range .
I have many shots, some of them good, of the Lighthouse at Point Wilson but I had to get to this room first. I've been staring at four shots for over an hour trying to decide which one...
I'm still doing research but I believe that this (break room?) is underneath the Kinzie Battery at Fort Worden, the final and key cannon emplacement in the so called triangle of fire set up to defend from a naval invasion in the late 1800's to 1953.
Dank, dark, and extremely cool place to explore, I hope more of it comes out this awesome.
for those who care, this is sooc with +30 clarity added and about -10 vibrancy subtracted in Lr. It's just that cool! :-)

I have been fascinated for some time by the diversity of texture and form of the plants that grow on the roadside verges.
The problem for image creation is that all the leaves are green. However, with the latest selection tools in Photoshop it is possible to select individual leaves and treat them differently,
I am currently trying two approaches: black and white which emphasises texture; and, colour.
This is one of my first attempts using colour. I think the use of colour should allow me to illustrate the competitive nature of the enviornment.
This photo of the Tham Kra Sae Bridge in Thailand fits perfectly with my planning for the day.
I'll be getting on a train shortly and going on a short photo trip.
However, unfortunately I don't have the opportunity to travel through such a magnificent area to such a fantastic place.
Instead, I stay in cold Germany and travel to Hamburg for two nights, where I have been wanting to take photos again for a long time.
I'm assuming that the route I'll be traveling on will give the impression of being a little more stable than this wooden construction can. However, the construction time of this viaduct was only 17 days and the craftsmen were prisoners of war of the Japanese.
By the way, this train takes around 5 hours for the entire route of around 180 km. I definitely trust Deutsche Bahn to be able to cover the 400 km to Hamburg in this time.
Dieses Foto von der Tham Kra Sae Brücke in Thailand passt hervorragend zu meiner heutigen Tagesplanung.
Ich steige nämlich in Kürze ebenfalls in einen Zug und begebe mich auf einen kurzen Fototrip.
Allerdings habe ich leider nicht die Möglichkeit durch solch eine grandiose Gegend an solchen einen traumhaften Ort zu reisen.
Stattdessen verbleibe ich im kalten Deutschland und fahre für zwei Nächte nach Hamburg, wo ich schon lange wieder einmal fotografieren will.
Ich gehe mal davon aus, dass die Strecke auf der ich unterwegs sein werde einen etwas stabileren Eindruck erweckt als es diese hölzerne Kontruktion vermag. Allerdings war die Bauzeit dieses Viaduktes auch nur 17 Tage und die Handwerker Kriegsgefangene der Japaner.
Dieser Zug braucht übrigens ca. 5 Stunden für die gesamte Strecke von ca. 180 km. Ich traue der Deutschen Bahn auf jeden Fall zu, die 400 km nach Hamburg auch in dieser Zeit bewältigen zu können.

Having guided train movements for almost a century, the tired B&O CPL intermediate signals light up for a nighttime eastbound at Nebraska, IN. Around 30 hours later, they would be deactivated and removed on 8/20/2025.
Having been stuck in hospital with Pneumonia for the last three weeks I'm finally home. I can't do much apart from revisit some older pictures so I hope you'll bear with me on my recovery.
We have had no measurable snowfall in our area since March 15th. The previous record for the date of the latest snowfall was December 20th in 2012. It is supposed to rain overnight tonight, with rain (possibly snow?) on Tuesday.
For any folks that might appreciate winters here, I have dug up this unposted shot. It's a memory from 8 years ago tomorrow. That was the winter of the "Polar Vortex" when Lake Michigan was more than 93 percent iced over.
