I have recently returned from a much needed holiday in the Lake District! This was also the first time I have picked up my camera since May! This was from the first full day of the holiday and probably the best day for weather, as the rest of the week it pretty much just rained! I decided to visit Blea Tarn for sunrise as it is somewhere I have always visited later in the day! Not only was there some lovely light and still water, there was a really atmospheric mist hovering above the surface of the Tarn! I haven't had much time this year to get out with my camera, but the morning at Blea Tarn reminded me how much I love getting out and about taking photographs.
This summer we had two young visitors from NZ, and one day I took them to Thonon-les-Bains for the day; to thank me they gave me this pretty ceramic heart they found in an antique shop.

London Scenes – Various – Part Three
As the title infers, these will be slices of London, hopefully including every aspect of life. Including Architecture, Sculpture, People, Graffiti, Transport, Doors and pretty much everything I have seen over the past 10 to 15 years of photography.
I have to say, we won't be coming back here. Every other shop is a fish and chip shop. The drive from York took forever. And it took even longer to get back. Getting across York is a nightmare so were done with the North.
Well, the east side 😄
I'll still give west Yorkshire a chance.
Shot over the wall because it costs way too
much to wander around a load of old ruins.
Come the next Ice Age it will all be buried under a mile of ice.
It's all so transitory ....... 😮
....Have you ever forgotten stuff when out with the camera??..spare battery, lens, filters etc?? Well, I have a new system of putting stuff where I can see it before I leave the house, which worked very well yesterday...I had all the filters and lenses for a great day out and arrived here at the top of the Kirkstone Pass to warm up with a shot of this famous hut....unfortunately my camera had not arrived as it was still sitting on the kitchen bench....any system is only as good as the fool using it. Luckily I had my pocket rocket with me.

Having finished the climb to the top of Winston Hill at Winston siding, MRL's Helena Local is now descending the 1% grade on the east side of the hill as the train takes 2 cars down to Graymont Lime in Townsend.
