The Citroën Visa was the first PSA car which shared components of two sub-brands. The main part was the floorplan of the Visa which she had in common with the 1972-1988 Peugeot 104. This also counts for the engine at some models.
In March 1981 the Visa received a cosmetic re-style (e.g. new grille).

The supermini Autobianchi A112 was introduced in November 1969. Production ended in 1986 and lasted over eight generations. This one on the photo is from the the sixth generation.
The Autobianchi A112 series was designed by Marcello Gandini (Torino, 1938-2024) at Bertone Studios.
This 6th generation A112 was also sold under the Lancia brand in certain countries like Sweden and Switzerland.
The number of foreign counties where this Autobianchi was offered as Lancia A112 was increased with the seventh generation A112 in 1984.
The A112 was replaced by the Autobianchi/Lancia Y10 in 1985.

As you can see without a rear window and badging this particular car was looking a tad tired but had signs of being in the midst of a restoration.
Some months later i passed by it and it seemed to have had a rear window fitted.
This is the 1978 facelifted version, with quad headlights and big bumpers, under the bonnet is a sluggish water-cooled 48hp 4cyl diesel from the Rabbit. Regardless of its plentiful flaws the robust and angular body shape is a design i can't get enough of.

The Mercedes-Benz B-Class is a subcompact executive MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) manufactured and marketed by Mercedes-Benz since 2005, and now in its third generation.
Similar to the A-Class, though larger, and with larger engines, the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) still classifies it as a hatchback.
As of December 20, 2013, delivery of B-Class vehicles reached 1 million since its launch in 2005.
These Fiat 500 seem to be selling well.This person is obviously a big Motorcycle fan of Italian Valentino Rossi. But the talented young Spaniard Mark Marquez is showing him who the new master is.. Much prefer the Moto GP to that boring car procession.
Just in interesting view from my window. Despite the rise in the number of crossovers and SUV's sold in the Netherlands there are still many small hatchbacks on the road here. Ten models from Kia, Fiat, Hyundai, Toyota, Renault, Volkswagen and Nissan on a row.

This was my previous Honda. I called it: the Testarossa.
I loved, loved, ***LOVED*** this machine. Very small but free revving engine. Excellent click-clack gearbox. I could make the RPM's dance around. Nice shiftbacks and the engine talked to me, it had a soul. Ultra fast steering. I think it's one of the most beautiful cars ever. Nice and compact, Milano Red colour. Start button. Dampers and suspension weren't that good. Something's got to give.
Very special car and ultra fun to drive.

After many years of rear mounted engine models Å koda returned to front engined cars with the Favorit. Another significant brake was the use of front wheel traction and the choice for a Western car designer: Nuccio Bertone. Bertone was already contracted in 1983 but it was not until 1985 for his designs were ready.
When Volkswagen Group took over Å koda Auto in 1991 the Favorite was modified and continued till 1994.

This 205 was at the same location as the Lada and Forman, so I guess this is owned by an enthusiast and might have more future than you'd think when you see this sad sight.
We owned this sporty hatchback car in the 1980's; made by Mitsubishi in Japan, and sold as a Plymouth brand in the US. The base model Dodge Arrow had a 1.6 litre engine, replaced by a 2.6 litre in the Fire Arrow model, which also had a 5-speed manual shift, upgraded wheels and tires and thankfully better brakes (four-wheel disc brakes) as the lightweight, aerodynamic Fire Arrow was a "Pocket Rocket" model, often used in racing because of its high horsepower/weight ratio: probably why you don't see any around these days !

The Starlet series lasted from 1978 till 1999. This P7/70-series Starlet is from the 2nd generation. It was the first front-wheel drive version.
There are still a lot of these small cars in our streets.
