The Incase Hardshell Case for 15" MacBook Pro. I chose the Incase over Speck because I liked the rubberized, matte surface, and the build quality seemed sturdier (but that's purely conjecture). It snapped on easily, and a nice touch was the battery power meter button passthrough. The "clips" that secure the Incase to the laptop are more subtle than on the Speck, but I'm not a fan of how Incase embosses its own logo on the lid (whereas the Speck advertises only on the bottom piece).
My main complaint about the Incase was the right rear lower corner would catch on the MBP screen edge when I opened it up, making a teeth-gnashing snapping sound. I ended up filing down the edge a tiny bit, and now it opens without catching or rubbing. For something that costs so much and brags about how finely its engineered, though, this seems like a big flaw.

Raichle hardshell womens race boots. These are pretty stiff for their generation. Intec ready, and include virtually new Booster straps. Raichle liners molded once.
I own a JTB-401 and as a fun, learning process project will add a humbucking split-coil pickup to it. The idea comes from a bass hero of mine: the late, great Carl Radle who did the same to his '68 Fender Tele bass. The pickup I've chosen to add is a Bill Lawrence P46. Bill is a legend in his own right in pickup design.
Then one day I found Talkbass forum Dan Howard's reproduction of Carl's '68. He did a tremendous job, at some expense by a master luthier, but created (pretty well) the 'real' thing. I am out to make the bass unique and have more flexibility as I can't afford a modern Precision (American Standard Precision Bass: Rosewood Fretboard, Olympic White, 4-Ply Brown Shell Pickguard
Model : 0190460705 $1356.00CND tax in-comes with a hardshell case and a few other goodies/tools SOMEDAY! But I have 5 basses already... more than my playing ability can account for! I love 'em.), and certainly not a vintage '54!
To understand proportions and placement etc, I set up this bass image chart and resized the most similar images I had on hand to make each bass body appear equally (there is still camera lens distortion to consider, and the angles are not all exact, but I've got them very close, and the relatives are quite accurate IMHO.
Interesting to note is the JT's placement of their neck and bridge. Fender has more body behind their necks, but the JT's upper fret access is better. The bass scale distance looks the same though, as both bridge and neck placement looks to be the same amount forward, from the Fender design.
Anyway, for an inexpensive bass, my JTB-401 is a real sweety, and the single coil in it, what ever the heck it is, sounds REALLY good. Read the reviews of it at Harmony Central.com and Ultimate Guitar.com. Kick ass value. And after the P46 is in there, Shazaam!

Hi, I am an Armadillo. I carry around with me a hardshell with nine bands for my protection. You can find me in North America, and South America. I inhabit rainforests, semi-aired areas and grasslands. We are being threatened everyday from hunting and our habitats being lost.
I am pinkish, dark brown, black, red, gray or yellowish in color. My whole body is covered with bony plates, and only a three banded Armadillo can curl into a ball to protect itself from predators. If I get scared I will run very quickly and dig a hole and hide.
I am so lucky to have long claws and legs that can help me dig and even help me make underground tunnels. I love to sleep 16 to 18 hours a day in my cozy burrow. I dig to find food which consists of insects. I also like to eat small mammals, eggs, baby birds, roots, fruits, and carrion. I am like an anteater, because we both have long and sticky tongues that help find termites and ants.
I have very poor eyesight, but have a good sense of smell that will help me to find my food. I am a great swimmer, and I can hold my breath for 6 minutes when I dive into the water. Mating season takes place in July, and females become pregnant in November. Our females can even postpone pregnancy until environmental conditions are good.
From one egg, 4 identical babies will be born, without bony plates. It takes a few weeks for soft skin to turn into hard armor. If you see a creature that looks like a dinosaur of some sort… IT’S ME! SAY HELLO!

If being part of a Guinness World Record attempt is on your bucket list, then Saturday, June 6, is your chance.
Just bring a canoe or kayak.
As part of Pittsburgh hosting United Nations World Environment Day, Venture Outdoors is orchestrating an attempt to set a new world record for the largest flotilla of canoes and kayaks.
The current record is 1,104 set in 2008 by the Inlet Area Business Association in upstate New York. Cleveland held the record for seven years before that with 776 boats.
Nearly 1,400 people already are registered for the attempt, but the Venture Outdoors folks are hoping to get at least 1,500 and set a record that will last, especially given that Davenport, Iowa, is organizing their own record-breaking attempt in August.
The local theme of World Environment Day is "water matters."
"Venture Outdoors was challenged to come up with an idea of how we can acknowledge Pittsburgh rivers and celebrate our leadership in terms of water quality, so this was our idea," said Venture Outdoors assistant executive director Sean Brady. "We wanted participation in helping raise awareness of the successes to date and the future challenges of protecting our water quality."
Jon Lucadamo, program director for Venture Outdoors, said that Guinness has very specific rules as to what will constitute a world record.
Inflatable boats don't count. Nor do rowing shells, dragon boats or row boats. In order to break the record, all the boats have to be either hardshell kayaks or canoes. All boats need to be joined together by people holding hands or paddles and the raft needs to be free-floating, so no tying off from boat to boat and no tying the raft off to a stationary object.
"We'll be anchored while we're setting up, but once everyone is in place we'll remove the anchor and the countdown will start," Lucadamo said. "We just have to hold it for 30 seconds."
A helicopter from news channel WPXI will hover over the raft and take a picture to provide Guinness with the required high resolution aerial photo. Venture Outdoors also is asking everyone who plans to participate to pre-register on www.paddleatthepoint.com and then check in beginning at 9 a.m. to help verify the number of participants.
Solo kayak rentals are sold out; however, rental canoes are available. Those renting will launch from the North Shore in front of Heinz Field, while those bringing their own boats will launch from the Mon Wharf. Launches will begin around 11:30 a.m. and Lucadamo said they believe it will take 60-90 minutes to get everyone in place and complete the attempt. The rivers will reopen to motorized boats beginning at 2 p.m.
Rick Brown, executive director of Three Rivers Rowing, said that they're contributing boats to the cause and also will have members participating.
"I think it's a great idea and a neat way to bring attention to the use of our rivers," said Brown, who plans to be part of the attempt. "I don't think I can really imagine it until I actually see it. It's going to definitely be something worth being around for. To have a ton of people all trying to do one thing at the same time, it's going to be pretty neat."
