There was a flock of blackbirds which I shot handheld - pics were just ok, but nicely focused, so I was pleased. This shot was an after thought - I was happy that handheld I could actually say it was pretty sharp.
The rattle was given to Billy when he was a baby.
The Sesame Street remote was purchased for Billy to try and distract him from using the real thing in the house. Like every other toy meant to replace the real thing it failed miserably. It made tons of sound and there were a lot of buttons. This toy was not liked by adults but got a good amount of play time from both boys.

At last on the 2nd time of looking I have seen the light. Excuse the rough pictures, these are handheld and on a moving boat. But at least I have now seen one of nature's beautiful light shows. The phenomenon is caused by electrically charged solar particles , high in energy, entering the Earth's atmosphere. They occur mainly in Arctic regions.
