The castle of Monterreal is a Parador de Turismo. On March 1, 1493, the Pinta, one of the ships from Columbus' voyage to discover the New World returned to Europe and arrived in Baiona, making the town's port the first to receive news of the discovery of America (Wikipedia).

HDR from five bracketed exposures (1EV step), handheld.

In the not too distant past, our rabbits and we made a few little critters to drum up a little dough to pay for their pet cat’s mounting medical bills. Probably because we channeled a whole bunch of positive energy into them, they feel pretty good to look at.

Then we realized they feel pretty good to hold, too. Their asymmetrical shape is a bit anatomical—they seem to fall right into the crook of the hand. We soon noticed that our hands, when idle, went straight for one. Familiar like a well-worn blanket or other childhood treasure, they’re quite cuddly. Best of all, they don’t snore.

We make Binky Buddies feel good by employing cottons and felted wools. We make them hypo-allergenic and machine washable by stuffing them with fiberfill. That nothing can fall off or be chewed off a Binky Buddy makes them safe for all ages.

Healthy for both people and the environment we live in, they’re lovely gifts for anyone who needs a little comfort every now and then.

Winter is approaching late in 2015-16. Some gardens have very few flowers in November/December. Also, It was windy today. So i kept my Shutter Speed very high and wait for several minutes to get this composition, handheld !

Handheld HDR shot of four exposures.

Handheld so excuse the noise.

I cannot resist taking interior shots if I have the wide-angle lens in the bag. This is a handheld 6-image vertorma of the Chicago Cultural Center, one of the best places to shoot in Chicago. I took 2 sets of 3 bracketed shots at +2,0,-2 and used Photomtaix to create the flat file. Then used Photoshop to merge into a vertorama. One of the challenges shooting handheld bracketed shots is you have to watch the shutter speed for the +2 exposure. In this case my middle exposure being 1/40 sec, +2 exposure was 1/10. I was not very sure how it came out when I looked at the LCD screen. But when I opened on the monitor it did not look like a bad shot at all. I was a little amazed though. Anyways shooting at ISO 1600 meant I had to do some noise reduction using Topaz Denoise. Other than that regular Photoshop stuff including High-pass filter for selective sharpening.

Also, when it comes to shooting vertorama I do follow Klauss Herrmann's technique. Incase, anybody interested here is the link farbspiel-photo.com/learn/hdr-cookbook/interior-vertoramas. He is the best I have seen so far when it comes to interior vertoramas.

I just recently shot my first sunspot images, first with a piece of welder's glass, and here simply using dark clouds as my filter. Shot handheld with a partially broken (cursed, even ;), rather limited Fuji. Prost.

[ I actually regard this as my first, and will try again, working on my presentation a bit more. ]

I had to hold the flash myself and trigger the camera by remote because the stupid Canon plastic flash stand broke when i tried to mount it on the light stand.
