These are two gingerbread house Christmas ornaments that I made from wool felt and cotton embroidery floss.
They are about 3 1/2" tall and 2" wide. They are hand-embroidered using the blanket-stitch.
The ornament on the left is available in my shop. Please see my Flickr profile for the link to my shop.
The ornament on the right was made for a Christmas ornament swap on Swap-Bot. It was sent along with a gingerbread boy Christmas ornament.
The perfect way to say, “take a number, I’m busy.” Surrounding your words of wisdom is a 30s reproduction print of yellow roses that complements Miss Smiley Face Daisy nicely. Turn it over and there is a beautiful Asian print of kimono clad women elegantly decorating your cubicle wall (or maybe office door knob). Made of 100% cotton and hand embroidered, 7 ½” x 9 ½”.
The study of New Orleans Voodoo practices was done in conjunction with the study of "rootwork" folk magick of african americans. Rootwork is not part of a religion in rootwork you bring your theology to the process if you so desire.
This is the first toy drop we did as part of The Toy Society. The point is to make a handmade toy for someone to find and take home. The maker expects nothing in return. It's just for the sake of doing something positive in the world.

When: Monday, January 16, 2012 - Martin Luther King Day
Other Comments: My daughters (Sophia and Olivia) and I were so excited to put the little teddy bear in one of carts for children to use.
We hope it will brighten a child's day and perhaps make a parent's trip around the store a little bit easier since it was about 4:15 p.m. when we dropped it off.
We checked back at 4:45 p.m. when we left the store, but the cart had not yet been taken. Perhaps it will be found tonight...maybe in the morning.
We hope the child who finds it enjoys naming the bear and taking it on journeys with her/him.
I got the banner and snake attached. I also did the small black diamonds inside the cream diamonds in the background. For a brief moment I thought it would be cool to embroider the snake's scales, then I slapped myself in the head and moved on. :) Next I think I'll do the face, but I'm not sure. I guess we'll see! :)

Released a new video today talking about the freedom of creative limits, and sharing an embellished jacket I've been working on. youtu.be/Rq9wzSWZsSM
The flash picked up all the floss. I usually back my items for kids so the floss doesn't irritate their skin so now you see it a bit more.

This is the Athena Owl on black fabric with my Athena statue, little owl and ancient classic oil burner. The early evening sun was shining through the window onto them. It is embroidered with metallic threads. This bag is big enough for a large sized Tarot Deck or Oracle Cards. People have also used these bags for jewellery, crystals, runes and more!
