These napkins are finally done. Too bad I missed the 2008 holiday season. I just pressed all 24 of these napkins. 16 are done in red and 8 in green. They are 20 x 20 cotton napkins and werereally easy to stitch on they just took a long time. It was quite windy today so the pictures are the best I could get, the light was great just was hard to take them.

A wall quilt hand embroidered, appliqued and quilted with hand-dyed fabrics. The apron has a real pocket. An original design, the first quilt I designed myself.

raya design means aside from the usual U-shaped pechera design, there are also strips of designs on the back and sleeves of the barong

Nothing says “I’m about to blow!” better than a little warning with the word “choke” in it. A light plum and ivory gold etched Asian floral print highlights your message. Even Miss Smiley Face Daisy is shooing people away with her upraised leaf (“Run while there’s still time!”). To drive home the fact that you’re really stressed out, even the letters are bleeding ink. Look closely to see some of the colors leached from the black letters (coordinates nicely with the frame too!). Is the disapproving boss coming? A quick flip and you’re admiring the Impressionist artwork on the back. Made of 100% cotton and hand embroidered, 6 ½” x 8 ¼”.

This pillow cover is hand embroidered with a victorian image of a bird on leafy branches scattered with red starlike flowers. The pillow cover is made of 100% light cream cotton that features an itty bitty cream floral print. It is edged in black hand crocheted lace. Closes in the back with three re-purposed buttons. Inside seams are edged to prevent fraying.

The pillow cover measures 14 x 14 inches. In the photo the pillow is over-stufffed with a 16 x 16 inch pillow insert. The insert is not included.

This pillow is machine washable, turned inside out. A light iron might be needed to touch up after a couple of washings.

Cut the rabbits and grass out of 4 different fabrics. Did the blanket-stitch around the rabbits and grass to secure them in place.

The flowers are done with the lazy daisy stitch and French knots. The eyes are French knots. The bows are ribbon and sewn on.

I made these... please see my profile for more information.

You all know how I adore the PBK Penelope collection!! I have been wanting to translate that into a pair of baby booties for quite some time. My ability to creatively craft lately has been hampered by much stress at home..so I have been away from it..but glad to get back in the swing I hope..

This is for the "Inchies ABC" Swap on Swap-Bot. Here's a bit about each letter:

A...is for Art. Pink handmade paper and an image from the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

B...is for Butterfly. The butterfly wings are not glued to the card so they sit off the page a bit. The background is a piece of birch bark from one of the logs in the firewood stack.

C...is for Candy Cane. Same fabric on both sides. A red button is on the front. The fabric is sewn together using the blanket-stitch.

This set was traded with PostMuse.

I've gotten most of the black embroidery done. And now I'm working on the lettering. The other pieces only really needed one type of embroidery, but it looks like I'm going to need to put some highlights on this piece. And I am seriously thinking about putting some sort of backing by the feathers. They aren't going to fall off, but they don't stay where I want them too. We shall see! :)
