I picked up this little hankie at a vintage shop that was going out of business. I thought the little machine embroidered pattern on the edges looked like the fleur de lis (sp?) so I made a little french shep from The Black Apple patterns by Emily Martin at www.sublimestitching.com.
This is the embroidered version of the Gelato Logo on a towel. it is a bit smooshed because it wouldn't cooperate and stand up.
This is part of the whole 3 piece set I am giving to Kittykill for her gala. Here is the completed onesie (minus the earring I forgot and noticed this morning) Pattern available at www.urbanthreads.com.
R is for Resonant.
The Embroidered Alphabet by Jeni Little.
The resonant rabble roused the romantic rabbits with a rakish rebel ragtime!
I started on the Ravenclaw shield. This one is going to be tricky. Especailly the feathers at the top. I haven't even cut the outlines of the feathers out yet, because I'm afraid they'll break off! We shall see. I might need to mount this one to a square backing or something. If you want something to compare it to, here's a link to the actual shield:

See what I mean about the feathers? Wish me luck! :)

You all know how I adore the PBK Penelope collection!! I have been wanting to translate that into a pair of baby booties for quite some time. My ability to creatively craft lately has been hampered by much stress at home..so I have been away from it..but glad to get back in the swing I hope..

In the exhibition „Seemannsgarn“ Eliot will show new, hand-embroidered works, a combination of embroidery and styles, as well as his most recent prints, which relate to his appearance as a graffiti and comic artist. The artist draws article of daily use from his graffiti past like markers, paint rollers or spray cans and adds his embroidered pixels raster.
some kind of prototype
made with raw/natural linen, hemp cord, copper ring, Bohemian crystal beads, & a genuine turquoise bead. One of a kind.
I made this case for myself, to carry my work outside. I used scraps of fabrics I particularly love: the rest of an aqua cotton I've painted for other projects, which I then decorated with a very simple and slow hand stitching; a green tie dye cotton that used to be a bag; scraps of my second collection, and, of course, some linen with its natural smell of plants that I love so much.
Looking at the selected fabrics as a whole, their colours and hues, the reflection of white on greens, something reminded me of places with water, lakes, ponds, reeds... Maybe because of that, without even noticing, I've chosen a piece of wood, from my collection of nature found objects, for the closure, and a cord I made with the wool that is left from this sweater. And while I was stitching the wood to the fabric, I felt like weaving... what ended up being my favourite detail in this case.

Here we have the new photos of my bags done by a great photographer friend. Over time he will be upgrading my photos for me! Boar is Hand embroidered with metallic threads. This bag is big enough for a large sized Tarot Deck or Oracle Cards. People have also used these bags for jewellery, crystals, runes and more!
This is for the "Inchies ABC" Swap on Swap-Bot. Here's a bit about each letter:
A...is for Art. Pink handmade paper and an image from the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
B...is for Butterfly. The butterfly wings are not glued to the card so they sit off the page a bit. The background is a piece of birch bark from one of the logs in the firewood stack.
C...is for Candy Cane. Same fabric on both sides. A red button is on the front. The fabric is sewn together using the blanket-stitch.
This set was traded with 123Poggy123.
This star is made from 100% wool felt. It has three layers of felt stars that are hand-embroidered onto one another using the blanketstitch. In the center is a button that matches that largest star color.
The star is stuffed with wool from one of the sheep that I raised.
I've been enjoying getting ready for Christmas - making stars, items for the nature table, and gift embellishments. I make some to keep...and have extras to sell in my Etsy shop.

Here's a pic of the real crest for comparison. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the "R". I might put a piece of the light blue behind it, or I might embroider it with the light blue thread. We'll see. :)
This cutie isfrom a vintage pattern I got from the Hoop Love photo pool. It will be a bib, eventually.
