I made this for my Grandma a couple of weeks ago. The embroidery is from this vintage pattern by doe-c-doe. I machine stitched the cover, but I had stitched the actual cosy part using some quilting and an old mattress cover. I don't mean to brag, but I do make tea cosies that will keep the pot hot for hours. I added the pom pom just 'cause.
This is going to be a pillow cover (once finished). It's handembroidered with the skeleton key and keyhole from Urban threads in black pearl cotton on white polyester shantung. The border is black shantung, two satin side up and 2 slub side up.
Silk stumpwork, miniature hand embroidery set into a birch pin. From my new collection. See my blog for more!
This interactive ACEO features a finger puppet attached to the card.
The unicorn finger puppet and the card itself is made with 100% wool felt and cotton floss.
The unicorn puppet is my own design. It can stay on the card or it can be removed and played with...and then returned it its "home."
The entire card is hand-stitched/embroidered using either the blanket-stitch or straight stitch.
This ACEO is a wonderful, sensory learning tool for children who love art; and who enjoy imaginary play and puppets.
ACEOs are the perfect size for little hands to play with and enjoy...especially those who love to experience art and learn through the sense of touch.
Please see my Flickr profile for more information about how to obtain it.

This bed is dressed with a batted silk bedspread in a delicate shade of cream and dripping with layers of lace. The roses and rosebuds on the bedspread are hand embroidered using custom dyed silk ribbons. The same roses and rosebuds are embroidered on the insets in the headboard and footboard of the bed as well as on the pillows. The matching dressed vanity bench pulls the whole room together. This turned out beautiful! Almost looks angelic. Another fabulous vintage pillowcase. The hand crocheted lace hemline was stunning. This dress was called Faith. I name all my vintage pillowcases.
Am starting to get ready for Christmas, and have been making some ornaments for the tree this year as well as some extras to sell in my Etsy shop.
This one is made from 100% wool felt. It has three layers of felt stars that are hand-embroidered onto one another using the blanketstitch. In the center is a button that matches that largest star color.
The star is stuffed with wool from one of the sheep that I raised.

This ATC is for 'The Color Purple: ATC Swap" on Swap-Bot.
For those who like the sensory aspect of ATCs, there are 5 different fabrics - 1 satin, 1 flannel, and 3 cottons (the cottons each have a different print...but no difference in the way they feel).
There are 3 buttons. The satin fabric is bordered by a very soft purple yarn.
The rest of the pieces and the entire ATC is blanket-stitched with purple cotton floss.
This card was traded with shelley96734.

This was a test to see if I could make a crazy patchwork cushion from odds and ends of vintage hand embroidered fabrics.
It's not usually my style but I loved having a go.

This is an ATC that I made for an ABC/alphabet book for my daughter, Olivia.
On each of the pages, there are 2 ATCs - one that I made and one that I collected from another person.
This ATC is the standard size (2 1/2" x 3 1/2"). The 16 beads are hand-sewn on. The decorative trim along the neckline and hemline are hand-embroidered using the back stitch.
The dress is blanket-stitched onto the front of the card, and then the front of the card is blanket-stitched onto a felt backing.
Another version of this card (without the letter "D") is available in my shop. Please see my Flickr profile for the link to my shop.
