Part of the Duvet Project. Floral cross from vintage pattern acquired in lot from eBay (pattern also in Hoop Love Vintage Transfers courtesy of chez60).

I'm not sure how I feel about my color choices. This took forever because I ripped out the original stitching I did on the little blue flowers (to change to THESE blues).

A bit nervous because like a ninny, I ironed the original vintage transfer onto the duvet. The test pattern worked out great (lulling me into a false sense of security) - but this pattern left some yellow-ish discolorations that I HOPE wash out.

Part of the Duvet Project, on the 2nd pillowsham. Pattern is from Sublime Stitching's Wedding Wishes: www.sublimestitching.com/weddingwishes .

I actually stitched the banner in a multi-colored floss & decided I hated it. Ripped it out and did it in a solid color (much better).

Another of my very favorites. This turned out so sweet and look at the crochet lace. Crafted from a vintage pillowcase

This fold over top wallet & card holder is fully hand embroidered with my flowery meadow design by using DMC embroidery threads on felt.

I picked up this little hankie at a vintage shop that was going out of business. I thought the little machine embroidered pattern on the edges looked like the fleur de lis (sp?) so I made a little french shep from The Black Apple patterns by Emily Martin at www.sublimestitching.com.

"Frodo sighed and threw another faggot on the fire."

The quote is not from one of the Lord of the Rings books. My Dad made it up and likes to say this when he is thinking about something and I embroidered it as a surprise for his birthday.

Yup....short and stout! I went in a little different direction with this one. I made it a little shorter than usual and a lot fatter, but it holds about the same amount of bags. This one has a cottagey feel to it and I used pretty green and blue old fashioned florals and a little white lace.
