"Midnight, where we used to dance; underneath the ugly halogen lamps. All I want went away so fast, in a black-out"
Macro Mondays: bulb
Halogen bulb on silver glitter paper. Frame is 2.125" across. Head on, the bulb bowl is just under 2" across.
[Reposting an older image that I had purged in a fit of housekeeping]
You can't have a light without a dark to stick it in.

The indoor halogen lighting in the supermarket foyer wasn't up to par so I had to make do with what I had.

My dog, Zuki, at night at the end of a parking lot under the light of a full moon and a halogen light. The postprocessing involved warping in Photoshop and layering effects. The title comes from the full moon behind her and her shadow looking like a howling wolf.
And the stage is set with a perfect spotlight...from overhead street halogens :-)

This is a broken halogen bulb from an uplighter lamp. There's less than 2 inches on show.
I've used my Nikon Z6ii with a Nikkor 105mm macro lens with a 1.4 teleconverter. Two LED video lights have been used for highlights.

Aladdin lent me his lamp for this photo :) Below shows the Halogen light and the little rectangular LED light I used to achieve this lighting. A Picture is worth a thousand words!
Another shot I took with the Technology Competition in mind. Just a halogen bulb sitting on a mirror. I desaturated it, then added a colour filter to give it the slightly bronze flavour.
My pan can also be used on a halogen hob according to this symbol on the bottom.
I had to look up what it means, apparently it's not used much anymore.

Today I received a present: new yellow halogen bulbs for my 1987 Peu 305 Break GR. Now my car looks more French as it ever was...

This is my first print with my new enlarger! I had to wait on a new halogen bulb to arrive, finally it's here! This print was made for a friend of mine who saw a work print a month or so ago and really liked it. The paper used is Tetenal Work 310 RC, featuring some stain and artifacts from bad storage. Some dodging and burning.
On that note, I wish everyone a very merry Christmas!
Paper developed in Rollei RPN Eco 1+9

Developed in Rodinal 1+50 on the Jobo CPA for 15:00 at 20 °C – slightly too long, as the densitometer tells me ;)
Jamie and I have been saving quarters in our Abita Beer growler for our cruise. We leave on Sunday, and the timing is such that we counted them out tonight. In case you were wondering, the grand total was $298.00.
I had a little fun laying them out, and took the opportunity to take a few photos. This is the one Jamie liked the most. The IKEA Halogen Desk Lamp was under the table, the shadows giving a harlequin pattern. My 430EX flash is to photo left, fitted with a purple Roscolux gel sample that was essentially free. She liked how the purple rimmed my face and the well-defined pattern of shadows.
As a bonus, you get to see my new Feasting On Asphalt 3/4 sleeve t-shirt. Jamie gave it to me because she knows how much I appreciate Alton Brown's show.
This is my three hundred fifth self portrait for 365 Days.

Heres another shot from the other night at the quarry, This was a weird thing to shoot but the best shot I got of it I lit with my torch. I really like how the Yellow in my halogen has picked out the crane from the Blue in the sky. Shame it wasn't starry on this particular night but I'm sure we'll be going back rather soon as I'm dying to get a star trail of the house here.
So the old halogen lights were replaced a few years ago with these LEDs....not near as impressive at night but a huge power saving.
48 second exposure at f/8, ISO 400.
Halogen light makes me look orange :D
