Day 2 and after a few attempts at shooting a white background with rear sb600 on maximum exposure compensation I consistently failed to get a clean white background. Exit for B&Q where I bought a 500watt halogen work lamp (well I needed one anyway!). I still could not get enough light on the backdrop to get it bright enough. Only got these outcomes through using selective control points on NX2 and bleaching out background further - which also led to loss of some of my grey hair patches top right.

This is what happens when you upgrade your plans on the fly. Instead of a well thought out 20W 6VDC light, I built a 50W 12VDC light. Basically, it did not work well with the PVC.
