An old light fixture, a wire sphere which housed a halogen bulb, set against a colourful background.
A broken halogen bulb still has uses for macro photography. Particularly when my significant other can locate and remember where most everything is, even in my office.
This tiny bulb and macro measures almost 3 centimeters or 1.1 inches side to side. It lays on its side on the slide light tray.

This was from that single Sunny day we had in April, where as I stumbled upon these incredibly healthy and full yin bloom flowers of numerous species. This one could feature in a laundry detergent commercial for protecting your colours, the brightness of yellow and streaked reds was stunning and caught the Sun beautifully. Friday is here so weekend tomorrow!

I like this image so much because of the beautiful gradient of the sky and the great color of the lights...but it was ruined by the bright lights brought by that Halogen Lamps on the roof.. any tips on how to improve this kind of thing?

This is a GU10 halogen bulb, often found in ceiling downlights. It has a translucent reflector so I placed the bulb on a colourful background outside in full sunlight so as to capture as much colour and detail as possible using natural daylight.

I didn't enjoy this one much - it felt a bit stark, especially against a plain background, so I brought some colour in with the glasses.
This was lit by four halogen lights, no diffusion, including one straight above the seed head.
I did like the spidery shadows!
(The outer spines of the seed head measure 2 inches at their widest point)

Otherwise known as Tungsten, element number 74 on the periodic table, a member of the transition metals group. Its melting point of 3414 degrees Centigrade makes it well-suited for use as a light bulb filament.

A halogen lamp designed mainly for stage lighting. This 120-volt lamp was run at a mere 15 volts for this picture.
The lamp section shown here is about 2¾" (69.9mm) tall.

Well on my lap next to a halogen heater actually. I don't seem to have put up any pics of Oscar for ages ... I think he's wondering what I'm playing at lying back in the chair with the camera on my chest to get the picture :)
(I bracketed down the exposure a little to darken out any room detail :)
A macro view of a lit 75W T3 clear halogen double-ended bulb, taken for the Macro Mondays group theme, "Bulb." The bulb was conveniently ( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°) located near the ceiling, above my bathroom vanity, and behind a glass fixture.

The scene is a 3-image HDR composite and represents a span of 1½-inches across. It was illuminated by the bulb itself.
