Honfleur is a commune in the Calvados department in Normandy en.normandie-tourisme.fr/normandy-tourism-109-2.html in northwestern France. It is located on the southern bank of the estuary of the Seine across from le Havre and very close to the exit of the Pont de Normandie. Its inhabitants are called Honfleurais. It is especially known for its old, beautiful picturesque port, characterized by its houses with slate-covered frontages, painted many times by artists, including in particular Gustave Courbet, Eugène Boudin, Claude Monet and Johan Jongkind, forming the école de Honfleur (Honfleur school) which contributed to the appearance of the Impressionist movement. The Sainte-Catherine church, which has a bell tower separate from the principal building, is the largest church made out of wood in France. The first written record of Honfleur is a reference by Richard III, Duke of Normandy, in 1027. By the middle of the 12th century, the city represented a significant transit point for goods from Rouen to England. Located on the estuary of one of the principal rivers of France with a safe harbour and relatively rich hinterland, Honfleur profited from its strategic position from the start of the Hundred Years' War. The town's defences were strengthened by Charles V in order to protect the estuary of the Seine from attacks from the English. This was supported by the nearby port of Harfleur. However, Honfleur was taken and occupied by the English in 1357 and from 1419 to 1450. When under French control, raiding parties often set out from the port to ransack the English coasts, including partially destroying the town of Sandwich, in Kent, England, in the 1450s. At the end of the Hundred Years' War, Honfleur benefited from the boom in maritime trade until the end of the 18th century. Trade was disturbed during the wars of religion in the 16th century. The port saw the departure of a number of explorers, in particular in 1503 of Binot Paulmierde Gonneville to the coasts of Brazil. In 1506, local man Jean Denis departed for Newfoundland island and the mouth of the Saint Lawrence. An expedition in 1608, organised by Samuel de Champlain, founded the city of Quebec in modern day Canada. After 1608, Honfleur thrived on trade with Canada, the West Indies, the African coasts and the Azores. As a result, the town became one of the five principal ports for the slave trade in France. During this time the rapid growth of the town saw the demolition of its fortifications on the orders of Colbert. The wars of the French revolution and the First Empire, and in particular the continental blockade, caused the ruin of Honfleur. It only partially recovered during the 19th century with the trading of wood from northern Europe. Trade was however limited by the silting up of the entrance to the port and development of the modern port at Le Havre. The port however still functions today. Αυτή είναι η τελευταία φορά που ο Θεός σώζει τον άνθρωπο! Τι θα πρέπει να επιλέξει η ανθρωπότητα; Η ιστορία αυτή είναι αληθινή. Από τότε που οι κάτοικοι του Κινγκπίνγκ στην επαρχία Σετσουάν επανειλημμένα αρνήθηκαν να δεχτούν το Ευαγγέλιο της βασιλείας του Παντοδύναμου Θεού, έχουν υποστεί δύο καταστροφές. Στον Μεγάλο Σεισμό του Σετσουάν, πολλοί αδελφοί και αδελφές που πίστευαν στον Παντοδύναμο Θεό προστατεύτηκαν θαυματουργικά από τον Θεό και επέζησαν. I was seriously late the game on this storm. But I was never out of the game. I had missed a few of the other tornados that afternoon in Northern Yuma County. Coming from south to north I had to position myself correctly. Chaser Convergence was also in full swing so there were not may open areas to choose from.
For best pics of a Tornado and to be safe about it a storm such as this was moving North by Northeast... strategically, you want to be to the south east, southwest for the best light... Behind the RFD (Rear Flank Downdraft) It's all about timing, and I honestly didn't think it would produce a tornado til it was well west of my location. That was going to be the wrong guess... Though when I went due north of Wray I had a good viewing point but not in the safest location as you see.
I got lucky this day as...In my opinion, I found a perfect view, looking due south southeast. I ended up on the northwest side of the rotation. Dangerous yes...but this will eventually give me one excellent view of this tornado and all her glory.
Staying as safe as I could I wouldn't bail till it was about a mile away then I would head north again to a safer / better viewing position.

Greetings Everyone, I haven't posted many new pics since last chase season and the 2020 Severe Weather Season is upon us. Looking for our first set of storms in the coming weeks and I'll be streaming live and of course some of the best storm photography one could ask for.
2020 Update...I've been revamping how I do things. One of those things is to go back and correct how I did my post processing of images. Several Years of over Colorizing over Saturation Adding color... etc. Yes I'm guilty of doing so and I have been going back and replacing thousands of images in hundreds of sets over these past few months here on Flickr my Fine Arts America Site.
The May 7, 2016 Colorado Tornado Event was by far one of my favorite chase days to date. I was able to capture the full genesis of a tornado. From birth to death. It was a quest of mine to do this in a photography medium. Epic severe weather structure, like once in a lifetime structure to capture. But post processing was a nightmare. The images came out well ... Defined but over colored over saturated etc.
Instead of replacing the images this will be a whole new set with a few hundred new images that I didn't post on the original set back in 2016. I've thought about re-editing these images for a long time and they are finally done. No Altercations what so ever. No Added Light, Color, Contrast.
I've brought them directly from RAW. Simply the way I should have done it in the first place!

The Eurasian Curlew (Numenius arquata) is a wader in the large family Scolopacidae. It is one of the most widespread of the curlews, breeding across temperate Europe and Asia. In Europe, this species is often referred to just as the "curlew", and in Scotland known as the "whaup" in Scots. The familiar call is a loud curloo-oo.
The only similar species over most of the curlew's range is the Whimbrel (N. phaeopus). The Whimbrel is smaller and has a shorter bill with a kink rather than a smooth curve. Flying curlews may also resemble, albeit not existing in the same area, Bar-tailed Godwits (Limosa lapponica) in their winter plumages; however, the latter have a smaller body, a slightly upturned beak, and legs that do not reach far beyond their tail tips. The Eurasian curlew's feet are longer, forming a conspicuous "point". The curlew exists as a migratory species over most of its range, wintering in Africa, southern Europe and south Asia. Occasionally a vagrant individual reaches places far from its normal range, such as Nova Scotia and the Marianas. It is present all year in the milder climates of Ireland, the United Kingdom and its adjacent European coasts.
Formerly classified as a species of Least Concern by the IUCN, it was suspected to be rarer than generally assumed. Following the evaluation of its population size, the classification was found to be incorrect, and it was consequently promoted to Near Threatened status in 2008. Though it is a common bird, its numbers are noticeably declining. In Ireland, the breeding population is estimated to have declined by 86% in the last 30 years. (wikipedia)
The haunting cry of the Curlew is one of the most evocative and memorable sounds of the Irish landscape. For me, it is the sound of my childhood, when I would be out birdwatching during the winter months around Cork Harbour.
Sadly, these iconic birds have been suffering severe declines for many years in Ireland. Whilst they are still a regular sight along our coasts in winter when migrant birds from northern Europe come here to take advantage of our relatively mild winters, feeding in our estuaries and wetlands in large numbers, it is our resident breeding population that is now in danger of extinction. A terrible indictment of the country's (and governments) attitude to our natural heritage. Ireland's reputation for being "green" is, sadly, built on a myth.

This individual was feeding along the estuary in Dublin Bay before the rising tide forced the bird to fly over the Wooden Bridge and into the North Bull Island in Co. Dublin.

Η καθημερινή βρώση και πόση που ο Θεός ετοιμάζει για την ανθρωπότητα
Όταν οι άνθρωποι δεν έχουν να φάνε σιτηρά, οι πατάτες μπορούν να αποτελέσουν βασικό στοιχείο της διατροφής τους, ώστε να καταφέρουν να διατηρούν τα τρία γεύματα ημερησίως. Οι πατάτες μπορούν κι αυτές να αποτελέσουν παροχή τροφής. Οι γλυκοπατάτες δεν είναι τόσο καλές όσο οι πατάτες, όσον αφορά στην ποιότητα, αλλά, και πάλι, μπορούν να χρησιμοποιηθούν ως βασική τροφή για να διατηρήσουν τα τρία γεύματά τους την ημέρα. Όταν τα σιτηρά δεν είναι ακόμη προς διάθεση, οι άνθρωποι μπορούν να χρησιμοποιήσουν γλυκοπατάτες για να γεμίσουν το στομάχι τους. Το κολοκάσι, το οποίο καταναλώνεται συχνά από τους ανθρώπους του Νότου, μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί με τον ίδιο τρόπο και μπορεί να αποτελέσει, κι αυτό, βασική τροφή. Ο Θεός έχει ήδη καθορίσει πόσα χιλιόμετρα είναι η ακτίνα ενός βουνού και ποιο το πεδίο της. Έχει επίσης καθορίσει πόσα χιλιόμετρα είναι η ακτίνα μιας πεδιάδας και ποιο το πεδίο της. Su importancia histórica se debe al hecho de que entre los años 794 y 1868 constituyó la capital de Japón, acogiendo la sede de la Corte imperial y otras instituciones. En el año 1868 el emperador Meiji decidió trasladar la sede de la corte a Tokio, quedando la ciudad definitivamente en un segundo plano. Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial fue la única gran ciudad japonesa que no resultó bombardeada por la Fuerza aérea estadounidense. Por esta razón, a día de hoy sigue constituyendo una de las importantes urbes japonesas, con un rico patrimonio histórico, artístico y arquitectónico. El 11 de diciembre de 1997 tuvo lugar en esta ciudad la firma de un protocolo que perseguía el objetivo de reducir las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero que causan el calentamiento global. El acuerdo internacional acabaría siendo conocido popularmente como el Protocolo de Kioto.
Kioto dispone de una red desarrollada de transporte por carretera y ferrocarril. Aunque no dispone de aeropuerto propio, existen en las cercanías dos aeropuertos internacionales, como los de Osaka y Kansai. Su patrimonio histórico y monumental, y sus diversos espacios escénicos y culturales la convierten en un importante centro receptor de turismo (tanto nacional como internacional). Entre sus monumentos más representativos se encuentran el Palacio Imperial, el Castillo Nijō, el Kinkaku-ji y el Ginkaku-ji, o el Santuario Heian y el Fushimi Inari-taisha, además de otros muchos. Desde el año 1994 parte de estos monumentos están reconocidos por la Unesco como Patrimonio de la Humanidad, junto a otros monumentos localizados en las ciudades de Uji y Otsu.
La Universidad de Kioto, fundada en 1897 y con 22 192 alumnos, es considerada como una de las mejores universidades en Japón. De acuerdo con el ranking del magacín británico Times Higher Education, la Universidad de Kioto quedaría en segunda posición entre las universidades niponas y en la 25ª posición entre todas las universidades del mundo.

Chinchero conocida como la ciudad del Arco Iris está ubicada a 28 km. al noroeste de la ciudad del Cusco, sobre los 3160 msnm., flanqueada por los nevados de Salkantay, Verónica y Soray. La vista desde aquí es impresionante. Chinchero pertenece a la provincia de Urubamba, departamento de Cusco
Chinchero, la población más típica del Valle Sagrado de los Incas, es una ciudad netamente incaica que los conquistadores quisieron "civilizar" para implantar su cultura, pero nunca lo lograron totalmente. Sus pobladores habitan las construcciones incaicas casi intactas, en el mismo lugar donde sus lejanos antepasados vivieron y formaron la civilización más grande y próspera de América.
En el Conjunto Arqueológico de Chinchero llama la atención inicialmente sus andenes, lo que permite entender que fue un centro de producción agrícola en la época inca, también se construyo un almacén y se doto a todo el complejo de un sistema de regadío muy eficiente. La historia cuenta que con la llegada de los españoles, Chinchero fue incendiada en 1536 por Manco Inca, en su huida hacia Vilcabamba, con el objetivo de no dejarles nada a los españoles.
Sobre el Palacio de Tupac Yupanqui los españoles levantaron la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Monserrat en 1607, con la finalidad de representar su sometimiento de forma simbólica. Su Altar mayor tallado en pan de oro y estilo barroco está dedicado a la Virgen de la Natividad. Sus paredes están decoradas con obras de Diego Quispe Tito el máximo representante de la escuela cusqueña. También hay trabajos de Francisco Chihuantito.
En Chinchero el pasado persiste obstinadamente, como si el espíritu de una cultura milenaria se aferrara en este lugar, negándose a desaparecer. Los pobladores nativos, ataviados con coloridos trajes típicos, bajan de sus comunidades los domingos y se aglomeran en la plaza principal para intercambiar sus productos. Ver a todo este grupo de gente de raíces culturales profundas, ajenos a todo signo de modernidad, resulta todo un espectáculo.
En la concurrida y colorida feria dominical de chinchero se puede encontrar objetos de uso domestico, algunos verdaderamente antiguos como los famosos textiles de chinchero. En este pueblo, con comunidades unidas se ha podido conservar un patrimonio vivo, inmaterial, de extraordinario valor, que se expresa tanto en la textilería como en las prácticas agrícolas y en una red de relaciones familiares y comunitarias. En los talleres de las asociaciones de artesanas se exponen diariamente todo el proceso del tejido, desde el lavado de la lana, hasta el producto final, se aprende de las técnicas de hilado, teñido y tejido.
Desde Chinchero se puede acceder a la bella Laguna de Huaypo y al pueblo de Piuray. Chinchero es reconocido también por ser un pueblo de talentosos artesanos textiles.

El Señor es fiel y cumplirá Su promesa de llevarnos en los últimos días. Zehn Tage nachdem ein brauner Mob durch die Straßen von Chemnitz marschierte, Menschen anderer Hautfarbe jagte und unbehelligt von der Polizei den Hitlergruß zeigte, kann es keinen Zweifel mehr geben, dass er Unterstützung auf höchster staatlicher Ebene hat.
Politiker jeglicher Couleur – von AfD-Chef Alexander Gauland bis zu Linke-Fraktionschefin Sahra Wagenknecht – verbreiten die Mär vom „besorgten Bürger“, der durch die Sorge vor sozialer Konkurrenz und angeblich wachsender Ausländerkriminalität auf die Straße getrieben werde und den man „ernst nehmen“ müsse. Tatsächlich wagen es die Neonazis und ihre Mitläufer nur deshalb so unverschämt aufzutreten, weil die Regierung und die Sicherheitskräfte voll hinter ihnen stehen.
Daran ließ Innenminister Horst Seehofer in den letzten Tagen keinen Zweifel. Hatte er bisher beharrlich zu den Vorfällen in Chemnitz geschwiegen, meldete er sich am Mittwoch am Rande einer Klausurtagung der CSU zu Wort und verteidigte die rechtsextremen Demonstranten. Er äußerte sein Verständnis für den rechten Mob, der mit seinem Aufmarsch, der auf zahlreichen Videos dokumentiert ist, die ganze Welt schockiert hatte.
Er verstehe, „dass die Bevölkerung aufgewühlt ist, dass sie empört ist über dieses Verbrechen“, sagte Seehofer, und die Bevölkerung sollte auch wissen, „dass man eine solche Empörung nach einem so brutalen Verbrechen versteht“. Am nächsten Tag wurde er in einem Interview mit der Rheinischen Post noch deutlicher. „Ich wäre, wenn ich nicht Minister wäre, als Staatsbürger auch auf die Straße gegangen“, sagte er.
Seehofer ließ es nicht dabei bewenden, sich mit dem rechten Mob in Chemnitz zu solidarisieren. Er bemühte sich, die ausländerfeindliche Propaganda der AfD von rechts zu übertrumpfen. „Die Migrationsfrage ist die Mutter aller politischen Probleme in diesem Land. Das sage ich seit drei Jahren“, erklärte er. „Viele Menschen verbinden jetzt ihre sozialen Sorgen mit der Migrationsfrage.“
Die meisten Flüchtlinge sind vor Kriegen und Katastrophen geflohen, für die Deutschland und die Nato mitverantwortlich sind. Nun versucht sie Seehofer zum Sündenbock für die Folgen des jahrzehntelangen Sozialabbaus durch sämtliche Bundesregierungen zu machen. Auf ähnliche Weise hatten die Nazis einst die Juden zur Ursache aller sozialen und politischen Probleme erklärt. AfD-Chef Alexander Gauland war denn auch voll des Lobes für den Innenminster. „Seehofer hat in der Analyse vollkommen recht“, sagte er der Neuen Osnabrücker Zeitung.
Zuvor hatte sich bereits der sächsische Ministerpräsident Michael Kretschmer (CDU) mit den rechtsradikalen Protesten in Chemnitz solidarisiert. „Es gab keinen Mob, es gab keine Hetzjagd, es gab kein Pogrom in Chemnitz“, hatte er vor dem Landtag in Dresden erklärt.
Seehofer ist keine politische Randfigur, sondern ein zentraler Akteur der deutschen Politik. Er war bereits in den 90er Jahren unter Helmut Kohl sechs Jahre lang Gesundheitsminister. Unter Angela Merkel leitete er später drei Jahre lang das Landwirtschaftsministerium. Anschließend war er zehn Jahre lang bayrischer Ministerpräsident. Und seit März dieses Jahres ist er als Innenminister für die Polizei und die innere Sicherheit verantwortlich. Außerdem ist er seit 2008 Vorsitzender der bayrischen CSU, der drittgrößten Regierungspartei.
Dass sich Seehofer nun offen hinter den rechten Mob in Chemnitz stellt, bestätigt alles, was die Sozialistische Gleichheitspartei über den rechten Charakter der Großen Koalition geschrieben hat. Diese verfolgt eine Politik der militärischen Aufrüstung und des Sozialabbaus. Es vergeht kaum eine Woche, in der keine neuen Pläne über neue Rüstungsausgaben und militärische Interventionen im Nahen Osten, Afrika und an der Grenze zu Russland veröffentlicht werden.
„Für diese Politik gibt es in der Bevölkerung keine Unterstützung“, erklärten wir Anfang der Woche in einem Flugblatt.„Deshalb nimmt die offizielle Politik die Form einer Verschwörung auf der höchsten Ebene des Staates an, in die auch die Oppositionsparteien – Grüne, Linke und FDP – eingebunden sind. … Kaum schwenkt die herrschende Klasse auf eine imperialistische Großmachtpolitik ein und spürt Widerstand von unten, neigt sie sich wieder der extremen Rechten zu.“
Was die Regierung beunruhigt, ist der massive Widerstand, der sich gegen den Aufmarsch der Rechten regt. In Chemnitz kamen 70.000 zu einem „Rock gegen rechts“-Konzert, zehn Mal so viele, wie die Rechtsextremen mobilisiert hatten, und auch in zahlreichen anderen Städten haben Tausende gegen die Rechten demonstriert. In Hamburg kamen am Mittwoch gerade einmal 178 Teilnehmer zu einer Demonstration von Rechtsextremen, zu der hochrangige Vertreter von AfD und Pegida aus anderen Bundesländern angereist waren. Dagegen folgten 10.000 dem Ruf zu einer Gegendemonstration.
Die Regierung antwortet auf diese wachsende Opposition, indem sie die AfD stärkt und den Staat aufrüstet. Seehofer erklärte im Interview mit der Rheinischen Post: „Wenn wir den Kurswechsel nicht hinbekommen und die Ordnung der Humanität gleichberechtigt zur Seite stellen, werden wir weiter Vertrauen verlieren.“ Die Mehrheit in Europa wolle „Ordnung, Steuerung und Begrenzung“. Als Beispiele nannte er Österreich und Italien, wo Rechtsextreme an der Macht sind. Er werde jeden Tag dafür kämpfen, „dass der Masterplan Migration zügig umgesetzt wird“.
Dieser Masterplan, auf den sich die Große Koalition geeinigt hat, sieht unter anderem die brutale Abschottung der „Festung Europa“, nationale Maßnahmen zur Grenzsicherung, die Errichtung geschlossener Lager für Flüchtlinge in Deutschland und ganz Europa und Massenabschiebungen nach Afrika und in die Kriegsgebiete des Nahen und Mittleren Ostens vor. Er ist mit einer massiven Ausweitung der Befugnisse der Sicherheitsbehörden und der Abschaffung elementarer demokratische Grundrechte verbunden.
Der aktuelle Verfassungsschutzbericht, der bereits Ende Juli mit einem Vorwort von Seehofer erschien, trägt ebenfalls die Handschrift der AfD. Er erwähnt die Partei und ihr rechtsextremes Umfeld mit keinem Wort, bezeichnet aber jede Opposition gegen Nationalismus, Imperialismus und Militarismus als „linksextremistisch“ und „verfassungsfeindlich“. Mit anderen Worten: Für Seehofer und den Verfassungsschutz sind nicht die Neonazis, sondern ihre Gegner, d.h. die große Mehrheit der Bevölkerung, der wirkliche Feind.
Keine im Bundestag vertretene Partei tritt dieser gefährlichen Entwicklung entgegen. Die SPD trägt sie als Mitglied der Großen Koalition voll mit. FDP-Chef Christian Lindner hat erklärt, Seehofers Äußerungen seien „zwar richtig, aber zu klein gedacht“. Die Grünen sind längst zu eingeschworenen Militaristen geworden, denen die Außenpolitik der Bundesregierung nicht aggressiv genug ist. Und Linke-Fraktionschefin Sahra Wagenknecht hat soeben die Bewegung „Aufstehen“ ins Leben gerufen, die von der AfD wegen ihrer nationalistischen und flüchtlingsfeindlichen Politik gelobt wird.
Die einzige soziale Kraft, die diese Entwicklung bekämpfen und die Rechten stoppen kann, ist die internationale Arbeiterklasse. Die Sozialistische Gleichheitspartei ruft deshalb zur Ausweitung von Klassenkämpfen auf dem ganzen Kontinent auf. Als deutsche Sektion des Internationalen Komitees der Vierten Internationale baut sie eine sozialistische Partei auf, die den Kampf gegen Krieg und Faschismus mit dem Kampf gegen den Kapitalismus vereint.

Die AfD plant Verarmung großer Teile der deutschen Bevölkerung. Warum die heimlichen Pläne der prokapitalistischen AfD für ihre eigenen Anhänger in Mittelstand und Unterschicht zur bösen Überraschung werden würden. Beispielsweise fordert diese Partei Zwangsarbeit für Arbeitslose, Massenentlassungen im öffentlichen Dienst, Kürzungen bei Beamten, Streichung vieler sozialer Leistungen, Abschaffung des Kindergelds, Kürzung von Renten, starke Verteuerung der Mieten und der PKW-Nutzung, weniger Steuern für Superreiche, und vor allem will die AfD einen finanziell schwachen Staat - den sich aber nur Reiche leisten können.

Es war ein Schock für die etablierten Parteien, als die AfD vor über einem Jahr aus dem Stand in ein westdeutsches Parlament einzog. 6,1 Prozent der Hamburger Wähler hatten der rechtskonservativen Partei ihre Stimme gegeben.
Unter den Arbeitern der Hansestadt waren es sogar doppelt so viele. Auch bei den Arbeitslosen konnte die AfD damals gut punkten.
Bei den jüngsten Landtagswahlen in drei Ländern waren es ebenfalls unter den weniger betuchten Wählern besonders viele, die ihr Kreuz bei der AfD machten. 37 Prozent der Arbeiter und 38 Prozent der Arbeitslosen etwa in Sachsen-Anhalt votierten für die Rechtskonservativen.
Die AfD gewann zuletzt immer mehr Sympathisanten. Doch ein großer Teil von ihnen - gerade aus der Unter-, aber auch Mittelschicht - könnte irgendwann eine böse Überraschung erleben. Denn die meisten finanz- und sozialpolitischen Pläne der Partei decken sich in keiner Weise mit den Interessen ihrer Sympathisanten.
„Viele ihrer Wähler könnten noch bitter enttäuscht sein, wenn die AfD irgendwann einmal an die Regierung kommen sollte“, sagte der renommierte Passauer Politikwissenschaftler Heinrich Oberreuter jüngst der Huffington Post. Die Partei- und Wahlprogramme der Rechtskonservativen stünden „in massivem Gegensatz zu den Interessen vieler ihrer Anhänger“.
AfD steht für Abbau von Sozialleistungen
Denn die Rechtskonservativen propagieren seit ihrer Parteigründung einen schlanken Sozialstaat. Auf ihrem Bundesparteitag Ende dieser Woche will sich die Partei in ihrem ersten Grundsatzprogramm auch bei der Steuer- und Sozialpolitikpolitik endgültig festlegen. Äußerungen von Parteigranden im Vorfeld lassen erahnen, wohin die finanzpolitische Reise geht.
31 Prozent des deutschen Bruttoinslandsprodukts seien Sozialausgaben, sagte der AfD-Vorsitzende Jörg Meuthen nun der "Welt". Für den Parteichef ist klar: „Da sind einige Zöpfe dabei, die ohne große Folgen abgeschnitten werden können."
Die Partei will nach eigenen Angaben vor allem Gering- und Durchschnittsverdiener entlasten und die Einkommenssteuer radikal senken. Kritikern zufolge würden von einem von den Partei-Größen favorisierten Stufensystem aber insbesondere Gut- und Spitzenverdiener profitieren.
Klar ist: Je nach Zuschnitt der Reformpläne drohen dem Staat durch eine solche Reform Einnahmeverluste im zweistelligen Milliardenbereich.
Das Problem ist nicht nur aus Sicht mancher Ökonomen die Gegenfinanzierung. Stefan Bach, Steuerexperte des Deutschen Instituts für Wirtschaftsforschung (DIW), warnt, spätestens zur Mitte des nächsten Jahrzehnts, wenn die Alterung voll auf die Sozialkassen durchschlägt, könnte eine Kombination aus Schulden- und Steuergrenze wie sie die AfD fordere, einen enormen Finanzdruck aufbauen: "Man müsste dann voraussichtlich bei den Sozialleistungen sparen", sagt er der „Welt“.
Meuthen bekennt sich offen zu einem Sozialabbau: "Der Staat soll ein enges Korsett haben, weil er anständig haushalten soll." Ein starker Staat bediene nicht alle, sondern besinne sich auf "seine Kernaufgaben".
Politologe: "Das ist ein FDP-Programm"
Solche Sätze kannte man früher vor allem von der FDP. Gering- und Durchschnittsverdiener machten deshalb viele Jahre lang einen weiten Bogen um die Liberalen. Droht mittelfristig der Alternative für Deutschland das gleiche Schicksal?
„Das AfD-Programm ist ein FDP-Ersatzprogramm“, sagt auch Oberreuter, der knapp zwei Jahrzehnte Direktor der einflussreichen Akademie für Politische Bildung in Tutzing war. Schließlich sei die inhaltliche Ausrichtung der Partei in der Sozial-Arbeitsmarkt- und Steuerpolitik noch von Wirtschaftsvertretern wie dem Ökonom Bernhard Lucke sowie dem Ex-BDI-Chef Olaf Henkel geprägt worden.
"Kaum jemand hat das Programm gelesen“
Die AfD-Klientel komme aber oft aus der unteren Mittel- oder Unterschicht. „Doch deren Interessen sind nicht die der FDP. Daher besteht zwischen den Wünschen der Wähler und der Ausrichtung der Partei hier ein riesiger Gegensatz“, sagt Oberreuter. Bislang merkten die AfD-Wähler jedoch noch nichts von dieser Differenz.“
Ein Blick in die Wahlprogramme der Partei gibt ihm Recht. Die Huffington Post durchforstete bereits vor Wochen deren Landes- und Bundesprogramme. In Baden-Württemberg etwa fordert die Partei eine Art Zwangsarbeit für Langzeit-Arbeitslose.
Die Bundespartei glänzt ebenfalls durch ihr wirtschaftsliberales Auftreten. „Wir fordern eine drastische Vereinfachung des Steuerrechts in Anlehnung an das progressiv wirkende Kirchhof’sche Steuermodell“, hieß es etwa im Gründungsprogramm der AfD aus dem Jahr 2013.
Auch in den „Politischen Leitlinien der Alternative für Deutschland von 2015“ steht: „Wir streben ein neues, einfaches und gerechtes Steuerrecht an.“ Auch hier wird das Kirchhof-Modell gefordert.
Experten: Unsozialer Entwurf
In ihrem Leitantrag für den AfD-Parteitag in dieser Woche schlägt die Spitze der Partei vor, den heutigen linearen Einkommensteuertarif mit seiner gleitend steigenden Belastung der Bruttoeinkommen durch einen neuen Stufentarif zu ersetzen. Wo die Stufen liegen sollen, wird freilich nicht verraten.
Gut möglich, dass es am Ende auf das Kirchhoff-Modell hinausläuft. Dumm nur, dass kaum ein steuerpolitischer Entwurf aus Sicht vieler Experten so unsozial ist, wie die Pläne des Ex-Verfassungsrichters. Der hatte bereits vor Jahren einen dreistufigen Einkommenssteuersatz gefordert. Je nach Einkommen sollen die Bürger demnach 15, 20 oder 25 Prozent Steuern zahlen. Topverdiener würde dieses Model massiv entlasten.
Die unteren Einkommensschichten hätten dagegen kaum etwas oder gar nichts von den Milliarden-Entlastungen. Im Jahr 2010 waren nicht einmal 29 Millionen Deutsche überhaupt steuerpflichtig. Doch Arbeitslose oder Geringverdiener – und damit auch besonders viele AfD-Wähler – zahlen häufig keinen Cent Einkommenssteuer. Eine Senkung der Lohnsteuer nützt ihnen also rein gar nichts.
Villenbesitzer können sich die Hände reiben
Während sich also die Villenbesitzer der Republik bei einem Wahlsieg der Rechtskonservativen die Hände reiben könnten, würde der kleine Mann indirekt die Zeche für diesen nach Ansicht von Kritikern schlicht neoliberalen Plan bezahlen: Denn der Staat würde Verluste im zweistelligen Milliardenbereich machen.
Da die AfD neue Schulden ablehnt, müsste der Bund folglich in vielen Bereichen wie der Sozial- oder Verkehrspolitik massiv sparen. Doch vom Wohlfahrtsstaat, der angesichts von AfD-Steuergeschenken im zweistelligen Milliardenbereich zwangsläufig abgespeckt werden müsste, profitieren vor allem die Unter- und weite Teile der Mittelschicht – also auch viele Sympathisanten der Rechtspopulisten.
Bislang werden diese Bevölkerungsschichten massiv vom Sozialstaat unterstützt, etwa über die Zahlung von Arbeitslosen-, Kinder- oder Wohnungsgeld. Zugleich müsste bei einem AfD-Wahlsieg wohl in zahlreichen Bereichen der öffentlichen Daseinsvorsorge wie im Nahverkehr oder beim Sozialwohnungsbau massiv gespart werden.
Schlicht, weil dem Bund die Mittel für solche Ausgaben fehlen dürften. Doch viele Arbeitslose oder Niedriglöhner können sich nicht einmal ein Auto leisten, manche von ihnen leben in Sozialwohnungen.
Und auch die klassische Mittelschicht würde unter den wirtschaftspolitischen Vorstellungen der AfD vermutlich leiden. Krankenhäuser müssten möglicherweise schließen, wenn staatliche Gelder gestrichen werden würden. Zugleich könnte das Geld für Lehrer, Polizisten, Erzieher und Verwaltungsbeamte angesichts der Milliardengeschenke für Wohlhabende knapp werden.
Reiche können sich einen schwachen Staat leisten
Schon immer galt: Nur Reiche können sich einen schwachen Staat leisten. Denn sie zahlen im Zweifelsfall gerne viel Geld für Erzieher, Nachhilfelehrer, Privatmediziner oder einen privaten Sicherheitsdienst.
Auch anderweitig könnte die deutsche Mittelschicht bei einem AfD-Sieg bluten. Die AfD lehnt in ihren in der Vergangenheit veröffentlichten Grundsätzen neue Schulden ab und will zugleich auch „Subventionen streichen“. Doch, was sind staatliche Fördergelder etwa für den Hausbau oder eine energetische Sanierung anderes als Subventionen?
Explizit spricht sich die Partei zudem gegen die zuletzt massive Förderung der erneuerbaren Energien aus. So mancher Hausbesitzer, der Solarzellen auf dem Dach hat oder neue Fenster braucht, könnte also bei einem Sieg der Alternative für Deutschland bei den Bundestagswahlen 2017 in die Röhre schauen.
Muss die AfD am Ende doch neue Schulden machen?
Unstrittig ist aber auch: Gering- und Mittelverdiener werden im jetzigen Steuertarif überproportional belastet. AfD-Mann Meuthen zufolge sollte diese Ungerechtigkeit möglichst rasch werden. Eine vollständige Korrektur würde DIW-Mann Bach zufolge, den Staat "tendenziell 25 bis 30 Milliarden Euro" kosten.
In dem Leitantrag spricht sich die AfD-Spitze darüber hinaus für einen "deutlich höheren Grundfreibetrag" aus. Aktuell liegt die Grenze, ab der Steuern bezahlt werden müssen, für Ledige bei 8652 Euro brutto im Jahr, für Ehepaare bei 17.304 Euro. Setzt man diesen herauf, profitieren davon Geringverdiener– aber auch alle anderen Steuerzahler. "Auch hier ist man schnell bei Steuerausfällen in Milliardenhöhe", warnt DIW-Experte Bach in der "Welt".
Wie soll das alles bezahlt werden? Die AfD lehnt bislang höhere Steuern für Superreiche ab. Zu guter Letzt könnte der Partei neben dem Abbau von Sozialleistungen nur ein Mittel bleiben: neue Schulden.

Bangladesh National Zoo is known as Dhaka Zoo. It was being started at High court area of Dhaka with a limited number of spotted deer, monkeys and some other types of animals in 1947. A master plan was approved with a view to establish a zoological garden at Mirpur in 1960. Dhaka Zoo has a rich collection of animals, birds and wildlife of both local and foreign origin. It has 2150 types of vertebrata belonging to 191 species. These include: 551 mammals of 64 species, 73 reptiles of 15 species, 104 aquarium fishes belonging to 32 different species and 1500 birds of 91 species. The Dhaka Zoo authority has taken up some other projects to improve its overall standard. These include: turning the internal environment of the Zoo into a Safari Park, introducing battery run cars for children, physically disabled and older people to facilitate their visit, establishment of a children park, a dolphin corner and a butterfly park inside the zoo.

Before I get into the details, let me make a strong request — if you’re looking at these photos, and if you are getting any enjoyment at all of this brief look at some mundane Americana from 60+ years ago: find a similar episode in your own life, and write it down. Gather the pictures, clean them up, and upload them somewhere on the Internet where they can be found. Trust me: there will come a day when the only person on the planet who actually experienced those events is you. Your own memories may be fuzzy and incomplete; but they will be invaluable to your friends and family members, and to many generations of your descendants.
So, what do I remember about the year that I spent in Omaha? Not much at the moment, though I’m sure more details will occur to me in the days to come — and I’ll add them to these notes, along with additional photos that I’m tweaking and editing now.
For now, here is a random list of things I remember:
1. I attended the last couple months of 6th grade, and all of 7th grade, in one school. My parents moved from Omaha to Long Island, NY in the spring of my 7th grade school year; but unlike previous years, they made arrangements for me to stay with a neighbor’s family, so that I could finish the school year before joining them in New York.
2. Our dog, Blackie, traveled with us from our previous home in Riverside, and was with us until my parents left Omaha for New York; at that point, they gave him to some other family. For some reason, this had almost no impact on me. It was a case of “out of sight, out of mind” — when Blackie was gone, I spent my final three months in Omaha without ever thinking about him again.
3. Most days, I rode my bike to school; but Omaha was the place where one of my sisters first started attending first grade — in the same school where I was attending 6th grade. I remember walking her to school along Bellevue Avenue on the first morning, which seemed to take forever: it was about a mile away.
4. As noted in a previous Flickr album about my year in Riverside, I was a year younger than my classmates; but I was tall for my age, and thus looked “normal” at a quick glance. But because I was a year younger, I was incredibly shy and awkward in the presence of girls. Omaha was certainly not “sin city,” but by 6th grade and 7th grade, puberty was beginning to hit, and the girls had grown to the point where they were occasionally interested in boys. The school tried to accommodate this social development by teaching us the square dance (and forbidding the playing of songs by Elvis Presley, whose music was just beginning to be heard on the radio). I was an awful dancer, and even more of a shy misfit than my classmates; I continue to be an awful dancer today.
5. My bike ride to school was uneventful most days; but the final part of the ride was a steep downhill stretch on Avery Road, lasting three or four blocks. My friends and I usually raced downhill as fast as we could; but one day, my front bicycle wheel began to wobble on the downhill run, and my bike drifted uncontrollably to the side of the road and then off into a ditch. I got banged up pretty badly.
6. But this accident was nothing compared to my worst mishap: a neighborhood friend and I enjoyed playing “cowboys and Indians” in the woods near his home (and his younger brother usually tagged along). I had a bow and a few arrows for our adventure, and we often shot at trees a hundred feet away. Unfortunately, the arrows often disappeared into the underbrush (because we were lousy shots) and were difficult to find. Consequently, one of us came up with the clever idea of standing behind the “target” tree, so that we could see where the randomly-shot arrows landed. Through a series of miscommunications, I poked my head out from behind the tree just as my friend shot one of the arrows … and it skipped off the side of the tree and into my face, impaling itself into my cheek bone about an inch below my eye. An inch higher, and I would not be typing these words … (meanwhile, my friend's younger brother grew up to be an officer in the U.S. Air Force, and he tracked me down on the Internet, decades later).
7. In the summer of 1956, my parents decided to spend their summer vacation prospecting for uranium (seriously!) in the remote hills of eastern Utah, where my dad had grown up on the Utah-Colorado border. This entailed a long, long drive from Omaha; and it involved leaving me and my two sisters with my grandparents near Vernal, UT. My grandparents lived in a very small mining village outside of Vernal; and while they had electricity and various other modern conveniences, they also had an outhouse in the back yard. Trips to the “bathroom” in the middle of the night were quite an adventure. On the way back to Omaha at the end of this vacation trip (with no uranium ore having been found), we stopped for a couple of days of camping somewhere in the mountains of Colorado; you’ll see a couple of photos from that camping trip in this album.
8. There were no lizards in Omaha, and thus no opportunity for lizard-hunting with my slingshot—which had been a significant hobby in my previous homes in Riverside and Roswell. Indeed, there was almost nothing to shoot at … and I couldn’t find anyone with whom I could play (and hopefully win) marbles, to use as slingshot ammunition. But for reasons I never questioned or investigated (but about which I’m very curious now), there was a small vineyard in the field behind our house, and I was able to climb over the fence and retrieve dozens of small, hard, green grapes. They turned out to be excellent ammunition … but I never did find any lizards.
9. A few months before my parents left for New York, I told them about the latest craze sweeping the neighborhood: “English bikes,” with three speeds, thin tires, and hand-brakes. I desperately wanted one, but Dad said it was far too expensive for him to buy as a frivolous gift for me: at the time, English bikes had an outrageous price tag of $25. I was told that I would have to earn the money myself if I wanted one … and the going rate for young, scrawny kids who shoveled sidewalks, pulled weeds from gardens, and did babysitting chores, was 25 cents per hour. That works out to 100 hours of work … but I did it, over the course of the next few months, and when I got to New York, the first thing I did was buy my English bike.
10. Toward the end of my 7th-grade school year, everyone in my class was subjected to a vision test: we were lined up in alphabetical order, and one-by-one read off a series of letters that we could barely see on a large placard taped onto the classroom blackboard. Because my surname starts with a “Y,” I was usually near the end of the line … and by the time I got to the front, I had usually memorized the letters (because they never bothered to change them, from one student to the next) without even realizing it consciously. But on this particular occasion in 7th grade, for some reason, they decided to line us up in reverse alphabetical order … and I was the first in line. For the first time in my life, I realized that I could not see anything of the letters, and that I was woefully near-sighted. When I got to New York, my parents took me to an optometrist to get my first set of glasses (and, yes, all of the neighborhood kids did begin taunting me immediately: “Four eyes! Four eyes!”) … and I’ve worn glasses ever since.
11. Three years after I arrived in New York, the glasses saved my vision when a home-brewed mix of gunpowder and powdered aluminum blew up in my face in the school chemistry lab (where I had an after-school volunteer job as a “lab assistant”). I suffered 2nd-degree burns on my face from the explosion, but the glasses protected my eyes. That, however, is a different story for a different time.

Ο Ζενγκ Μουέν εργάζεται στην κινεζική χριστιανική εκκλησία στις ΗΠΑ, πιστεύει πολλά χρόνια στον Κύριο, για τον οποίο εργάζεται πολλά χρόνια και δαπανά. Μια μέρα, δέχεται από τη θεία του τη μαρτυρία ότι ο Κύριος Ιησούς έχει επιστρέψει, για να εκφράσει την αλήθεια και να επιτελέσει το έργο της κρίσεως και του εξαγνισμού του ανθρώπου τις έσχατες ημέρες. Αυτά τα νέα τον ενθουσιάζουν. Αφού διαβάζει τον λόγο του Παντοδύναμου Θεού και βλέπει δει τις ταινίες και τα βίντεο της Εκκλησίας του Παντοδύναμου Θεού, η καρδιά του Ζενγκ Μουέν επιβεβαιώνει ότι ο λόγος του Παντοδύναμου Θεού είναι η αλήθεια και ότι ο Παντοδύναμος Θεός μπορεί κάλλιστα να είναι η επιστροφή του Κυρίου Ιησού. Έτσι, αρχίζει να ερευνά το έργο του Θεού τις έσχατες ημέρες με τις αδελφές και τους αδελφούς του. Όταν, όμως, το ανακαλύπτει αυτό ο πάστορας Μα, ο επικεφαλής της εκκλησίας του, προσπαθεί διαρκώς να παρέμβει και να σταματήσει τον Ζενγκ Μουέν. Δείχνει στον Ζενγκ Μουέν ένα προπαγανδιστικό βίντεο της κυβέρνησης του ΚΚΚ, το οποίο συκοφαντεί και καταδικάζει την Αστραπή της Ανατολής, στην προσπάθειά του να κάνει τον Ζενγκ Μουέν να εγκαταλείψει την έρευνά του για την αληθινή οδό. Αυτό το βίντεο τον φέρνει σε πλήρη σύγχυση: Μπορεί προφανώς να δει ότι ο λόγος του Παντοδύναμου Θεού είναι η αλήθεια και η φωνή του Θεού, οπότε γιατί οι πάστορες και οι πρεσβύτεροι του θρησκευτικού κόσμου καταδικάζουν τον Παντοδύναμο Θεό; Όχι μόνο αρνούνται οι ίδιοι να αναζητήσουν και να ερευνήσουν, προσπαθούν και να σταματήσουν τους άλλους από το να ασπαστούν την αληθινή οδό. Γιατί συμβαίνει αυτό; … Ο Ζενγκ Μουέν φοβάται μην εξαπατηθεί και πάρει λάθος μονοπάτι, αλλά επίσης φοβάται μη χάσει την ευκαιρία του να αρπαγεί. Εν μέσω αυτού του διλήμματος και αυτής της σύγχυσης, ο πάστορας Μα παρουσιάζει κι άλλη αρνητική προπαγάνδα από το ΚΚΚ και τον θρησκευτικό κόσμο, προκαλώντας περισσότερες αμφιβολίες στην καρδιά του Ζενγκ Μουέν. Αποφασίζει να ακούσει τον πάστορα Μα και να εγκαταλείψει την έρευνα για την αληθινή οδό. Αργότερα, έχοντας ακούσει τη μαρτυρία και τη συναναστροφή μαρτύρων της Εκκλησίας του Παντοδύναμου Θεού, ο Ζενγκ Μουέν καταλαβαίνει ότι, κατά την έρευνα για την αληθινή οδό, η βασικότερη αρχή είναι να καταλάβει κανείς αν μια οδός διαθέτει αλήθεια και αν εκφράζει τη φωνή του Θεού. Ο Ζενγκ Μουέν επιτέλους καταλαβαίνει το μυστήριο των φρόνιμων παρθένων που άκουσαν τη φωνή του Θεού μέσω του Κυρίου Ιησού, αποφασίζει να πάψει να πιστεύει σε ψεύδη και παράλογες θεωρίες της κυβέρνησης του ΚΚΚ, των παστόρων και των πρεσβύτερων του θρησκευτικού κόσμου, και ξεφεύγει από τους περιορισμούς και τα δεσμά του θρησκευτικού πάστορα. Ο Ζενγκ Μουέν βιώνει βαθιά τη δυσκολία στην αναζήτηση για την αληθινή οδό. Αν κανείς δεν μπορεί να διακρίνει και να αναζητήσει την αλήθεια, αποκλείεται να ακούσει τη φωνή του Θεού και να αρπαγεί ενώπιον του θρόνου του Θεού. Αντιθέτως, το μόνο που μπορεί να κάνει είναι να εξαπατηθεί, να γίνει υποχείριο του Σατανά και να πεθάνει μέσα στα δίχτυα του Σατανά, γεγονός που εκπληρώνει πλήρως τα λόγια της Βίβλου: «Ο λαός μου ηφανίσθη δι' έλλειψιν γνώσεως» (Ωσηέ 4:6). «Οι δε άφρονες αποθνήσκουσι δι' έλλειψιν φρενών» (Παροιμίαι 10:21).

Honfleur is a commune in the Calvados department in Normandy en.normandie-tourisme.fr/normandy-tourism-109-2.html in northwestern France. It is located on the southern bank of the estuary of the Seine across from le Havre and very close to the exit of the Pont de Normandie. Its inhabitants are called Honfleurais. It is especially known for its old, beautiful picturesque port, characterized by its houses with slate-covered frontages, painted many times by artists, including in particular Gustave Courbet, Eugène Boudin, Claude Monet and Johan Jongkind, forming the école de Honfleur (Honfleur school) which contributed to the appearance of the Impressionist movement. The Sainte-Catherine church, which has a bell tower separate from the principal building, is the largest church made out of wood in France. The first written record of Honfleur is a reference by Richard III, Duke of Normandy, in 1027. By the middle of the 12th century, the city represented a significant transit point for goods from Rouen to England. Located on the estuary of one of the principal rivers of France with a safe harbour and relatively rich hinterland, Honfleur profited from its strategic position from the start of the Hundred Years' War. The town's defences were strengthened by Charles V in order to protect the estuary of the Seine from attacks from the English. This was supported by the nearby port of Harfleur. However, Honfleur was taken and occupied by the English in 1357 and from 1419 to 1450. When under French control, raiding parties often set out from the port to ransack the English coasts, including partially destroying the town of Sandwich, in Kent, England, in the 1450s. At the end of the Hundred Years' War, Honfleur benefited from the boom in maritime trade until the end of the 18th century. Trade was disturbed during the wars of religion in the 16th century. The port saw the departure of a number of explorers, in particular in 1503 of Binot Paulmierde Gonneville to the coasts of Brazil. In 1506, local man Jean Denis departed for Newfoundland island and the mouth of the Saint Lawrence. An expedition in 1608, organised by Samuel de Champlain, founded the city of Quebec in modern day Canada. After 1608, Honfleur thrived on trade with Canada, the West Indies, the African coasts and the Azores. As a result, the town became one of the five principal ports for the slave trade in France. During this time the rapid growth of the town saw the demolition of its fortifications on the orders of Colbert. The wars of the French revolution and the First Empire, and in particular the continental blockade, caused the ruin of Honfleur. It only partially recovered during the 19th century with the trading of wood from northern Europe. Trade was however limited by the silting up of the entrance to the port and development of the modern port at Le Havre. The port however still functions today.
