CONTAX TVSと長門湯本温泉の音信川と川床
橋の上から撮った風景だ。
川床は一般の日は誰でも使えるようだ。あまり使っている人は見かけないけれど。川沿いの道路から見下された感じになるので、なかなか利用が難しいのかもしれない。音信川は深川川のこのあたりだけの別名で上流と下流は深川川と呼ばれている。川床はともかく置き石や橋などは以前からあったものだ。何度か改善しようとした結果がようやく実ってきたということなのかもしれない。広角端で撮ったものだけれど、CONTAX TVSは広角端か望遠端しか使っていない気がする。それもほとんどが28mmで利用している。

快晴。今日は温かな日和だった。朝から緑内障の予防と検査で病院に行った。検査結果では特に進行はしていないようだとのことだった。午後からカミサンと散歩。向陽小学校前から国道へ折れ、セブンイレブンで冷たい飲み物を購入した後、板持駅のあたりから帰宅した。今日は暖かい日和だったせいか子猫を3匹、成猫を1匹、小さな溜池でシラサギを見かけた。CONTAX TVS、KODAK ColorPlus 200で逆光の白梅などを撮った。昨日、一昨日とiPadは普通に指で扱うことができたのだけれど、今日はダメっぽい。iPad mini、Surface Proはいつも通りOKだ。うーん。微妙なしきい値で僕の指の油なんかが違っているんだろうか。

Challenge At Noshinima's Neighborhood: The Photo Studio Of My City Block #NoshsHoodChallenge3
Fashion photography is a big deal in New York City. I knew I had to design a studio deticated to all of our passions. It is the reason why we are on Flickr. ;)
Note: I have also decided to tag the people that were tagged by others after they uploaded their own entries for the challenge. This is to remind you that you have been nominated to take the challenge of doing a shoot at my park by your friends, that have already taken the challenge.

This is the third of my challenges taking place at my brand new, bigger parcel, also named Noshinima's Neighborhood. This setup was a nightmare to work on, and after weeks of work and a lot of lindens spend, I have finally came up with a new challenge for all of you and it is now ready for visitors. This is a new concept I am showcasing on my Flickr, where I challenge 50 great artists to do a photo shoot in the backdrop I created at my home sim.
For the third challenge, I created a large New York style city block, complete with all the different types of retail store outlets you would find at in your typical downtown scroll along downtown. There are clothing stores, supermarkets, pizzerias flower shops and all types of different settings that can be potentially found in just one city block. This also comes with a fairly realistic street view complete with cars and trucks. I am challenging the names tagged in this post to do a shoot within my city block anywhere they like and however they like.
Rules and details:
1) I (Noshinima Midas) tag 50 names of great photographers on Second Life. Said photographers that choose to participate in the challenge can come over to my parcel, Noshinima's Neighborhood (link below) and do an image anywhere in my city. You will be allowed two hours to use any posestands or props that you would like to add and are allowed to bring any friends you want to join you in your shoot. You are also allowed to make the shoot as safe or as adult as you like. The only rule is that you do the shoot within the city block. Take your time to have a look around to see where in the block would make a great place for your image.
2) Upload the finished image onto Flickr and place the hashtag #NoshsHoodChallenge3 on either the title or the description.
3) YOU MUST TAG 10 PEOPLE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE TAKE THIS CHALLENGE ON YOUR UPLOAD OF YOUR SHOOT! NO MORE, NO LESS! I have had several people during previous challenges that have not followed this simple rule so I am making it ALLCAPS to get the point across. Link them to this post and explain the rules to them as well. They must also tag 10 of their friends that they would like to see do this challenge if they themselves choose to participate as well. You must tag people that are actual active photographers on Second Life. Tagging pages dedicated to advertising a store, tagging real life photographers and tagging empty profiles does not count and is against the rules. Also, although you are permitted to do this if you desire, tagging me and tagging yourself will not count towards the number of 10 photographers you are tagging.

Die ehemalige Burg war einst Stammsitz der Ministerialienfamilie von Klingenberg, die hier in der zweiten Hälfte des 13. Jahrhunderts eine geschlossene Gerichtsherrschaft errichtete. Von den edlen Klingenbergern ist heute vor allem Heinrich II. ein Begriff. Er war Kanzler von König Rudolf von Habsburg und wurde 1293 Bischof von Konstanz. Mit dem Aussterben der Klingenberger gelangte die Herrschaft durch Erbschaft 1360 an Hermann von Breitenlandenberg, 1407 an Ulrich Peyer und 1448 an Friedrich von Heidenheim, in dessen Geschlecht sie über 200 Jahre verblieb.
Seit 2005 befindet sich das Schloss Klingenberg in privatem Besitz.
Das Wappen ist Bestandteil der Stuckdecke im Restaurant.

Después de abandonar esa iglesia encontré una iglesia católica que estaba situada en la cima de una montaña. Las personas que había en la iglesia eran japonesas. Asistí a misa unas cuantas veces, pero sentía que no me beneficiaba espiritualmente. Además no me resultaba muy conveniente asistir a la comunicación, así que también la abandoné. De esta manera, llevaba una vida confusa y vacía, carente de dirección y de propósito… Esto continuó hasta octubre de 2016. Located on Mission Hill in Sham Shui Po, the Ex-Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir was rediscovered in 2020 after being decommissioned for more than a few decades. Featuring European-style granite piers and red brick arches imitating Roman civil engineering works, the structure offers us a precious glimpse of Hong Kong’s water supply history over the past 100 years.
The Ex-Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir was confirmed as a Grade 1 historic structure by the Antiquities Advisory Board in 2021.
The Ex-Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir was built to increase water supply in the early years of Hong Kong. The main source of public water supply on the Kowloon Peninsula was the deployment of underground water, which became insufficient as the population grew. In 1902, the Hong Kong Government launched the Kowloon Waterworks Gravitation Scheme, which entailed the construction of the Kowloon Reservoir and Catchwaters, the Tai Po Road Filter Beds and the Ex-Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir, known as ‘Kowloon Tong Service Reservoir’ at that time, as well as connecting water pipes of various sizes with the service reservoirs to form a comprehensive water supply network.
Built in 1904, the Ex-Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir had a storage capacity of 9,900 cubic metres. Compared with the Ex-Yaumati Service Reservoir (approximately 740 cubic metres), and the demolished Hung Hom Service Reservoir (approximately 420 cubic metres), the Ex-Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir was huge in size and supplied fresh water to people living in Kowloon Tong, Sham Shui Po and Tai Hang Tung. The Shek Kip Mei Fresh Water Service Reservoir, with a storage capacity ten times larger, was commissioned in 1970. The Ex-Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir then ceased operations in the same year.
The Ex-Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir’s granite piers, red brick arches and concrete cove ceilings are exemplary of Roman architectural features, which are rarely found in Hong Kong. The service reservoir was built on Mission Hill, with 108 neatly arranged granite piers supporting the massive concrete ceiling. The red brick arches that contribute to its classical look were built in Flemish bond, a pattern that mimics Roman civil engineering works.
The service reservoir was restored with yellow lighting effects added to complement its beauty. Visitors may immerse themselves in the architectural aesthetics with a fascinating combination of materials, silhouettes and shapes. The orderly arrangement of the piers and the ever-extending arches creates a sense of solemnity and security.
The construction of the Ex-Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir combines aesthetics and practicality. As the first circular underground service reservoir built in Hong Kong, it was intended to maximise the building area with the shortest perimeter. The cover could prevent water contamination, but this also required a strong roof and supporting structure. The cast-in-situ concrete technique was thus used to achieve the design span. The service reservoir demonstrates practical design wisdom, and all the architectural details contribute to a mesmerising story of history and architecture.

The Guild Halls
Opposite the city hall, on both sides of the Grote Markt Antwerp, you will see a row of beautiful guildhalls.
These houses were very typical in the 16th and 17th century.
Every house was connected to a certain guild that was built to show off their power, status and wealth.
That’s why you see on top of the guildhalls those amazing golden statues that are related to their specific guild.
The largest guildhall is named the ‘Pand van Spanje’, which means the house of Spain. You will recognize it at the chevalier on its horse that is just ready to kill the dragon that is climbing up. The Horseman is Saint Joris.
Truth to be told, only a few guildhalls are original. House numbers 24, 38 and 40 are authentic. They have been renovated to show their original beauty again.
The other houses are actually replicas from houses that were there before. These were built in the 19th and 20th century and were based on old paintings and testimonies. Some houses were based on houses that used to be elsewhere in the city.
All the guildhalls on the Grote Markt Antwerp are built in a Renaissance style with a few Gothic elements like the pinnacles, that are so typical for Belgium and the Netherlands.
