As part of its 40th founding anniversary, Pilipinas Hino, Inc. (later renamed to Hino Motors Philippines Corporation) launches its new flagship bus model, the Pilipinas Hino (Hino Motors Philippines) Grand–Echo II a better and sleeker update of the original Pilipinas Hino Grand–Echo launched in 2010. The features of Grand–Echo II are the same as what Grand–Echo I and its sister model, Pilipinas Hino Grandeza has, with the exception of its updated body, from its new front and rear fascia and most especially, its iconic new headlights.
Grand–Echo II is available in Hino RM2P bus chassis which uses Air Suspension, branded as WideSus or Wide Air Suspension and powered by Hino P11C–TH; and Hino RK1J chassis that uses the traditional Leaf Spring Suspension and is powered by Hino J08C–TK. Both engines are Euro II-compliant, ensuring a cleaner air released thru its exhaust. These are also equipped with TERCA Retarder as it's auxillary brake.
