Taken on the same morning as my last shot, this shows the Millennium Bridge from the South Bank of the Thames. It was so misty, you could only just make out St Paul's Cathedral on the other side of the river.
Held close by that which some dispise
which some called fake, and others lies
And somewhat small
for one so tall
a doubting Thomas who would be?
It's written plain for all to see
for one who I am with no more
it's hard at times, it's awful raw

SPACE CLOUDS ....or just silver linings?
Given the recent sightings of the illusive Noctiluscent Clouds I formulated a cunning plan of going to Roadford Lake sun dial. It has a good wide view to the North and giving the windless conditions good reflections of the sky. If no NLC I could shoot the sundial with the Milky Way core behind. I also worked out a good sunrise location and got permission to visit the private nature reserve at Quoditch Moor.
Well life is what happens while you are planning to do something else!
No NLC, except maybe a glimpse, the light pollution of Launceston obliterated the core of the MW, I slept through my alarm so had an improvised sunrise location and the nature reserve was so unmanaged I would have needed a chain saw and a machete to gain access.
So Plan B over breakfast and a trip to a favourite location at Sourton, Okehampton to find there was some beautiful light and sundews to add a bit of silver lining to the day/night!
I’m lucky to get this shot after many tries to get that Green flash. The Sun showing a green flash during sunset. This rare phenomenon happens when the Sun in sunset or sunrise. The thick atmosphere act as a prism refracting the sun light making the bottom of the sun Red and the top edge Blue. The blue colour is scattered and vanished in the sky. While the Green remains. All this phenomena happens in a second or two. To make the matter more difficult, it needs a clear atmosphere which is not available in my area.
We went out early in the morning in search of the Jaguars and it was not until eight thirty that we got our first glimpse of one emerging from the thick undergrowth that lines the river. I can not begin to explain the feeling, My heart was beating fast as we watched him closely move along the edge of the river. Truly a moment I will never forget. He was more beautiful in real life that I could have imaged. We have such a beautiful and incredible world to explore.
Wishing you all an awesome and blessed Monday !!
One of my earliest tube shots. At the time I said "I think this was Bank station, but honestly can't remember." This place is now so familiar to me I'm amazed I had to think about it.

This was my first glimpse of the full moon rising on Thursday night. It was the last shot I got before my camera developed a fault and kept me fiddling with it for several critical minutes before I got another shot by which time the moon had risen far above the trees.
I didn't get any of the ideal Metro shots I wanted b/c of the hustle and bustle, so this will have to do. I still have quite a few London shots but I'll sneak in some Paris shots now. I've finished processing most of the Gordon Ramsay food photos but I'll need some time to write a decent review.
Happy weekend, everyone.
Not a great photo, I know, but this was the glimpse I got of the owlet! (The white fluff on the bottom right there peeking with one eye....)

I should be in my bed, drifting away from reality for tonight but I can't help lurking, half in the shadows, hoping for a glimpse of you.

A last reflective glimpse, at sunset, before the grasp of winter completely freezes the Paradise Pond over~
The book I chose was The Giver, my inspiration behind the picture is the moment Gabriel sees color in the world, when he notices the red of an apple. I used selective color to represent this moment and made a few other slight edits.
