A strong tornado churns in North Central Kansas. This tornado lasted 90 minutes. It was rated a high end EF4 but would likely have been an EF5 had it hit anything. It bent rail tracks at one point. www.mrtwister.us May 25th 2016

Uncarina roeoesliana is a deciduous tropical shrub that develops a nice irregularly shaped caudex and stems that grow up to 6.5 feet (2 m) tall. There are two leaf forms, one has palmately lobed dark green leaves with reddish petioles, and the other has bright green cordate barely lobed leaves. Flowers are small, yellow, followed by hooked fruit.
Uncarina roeoesliana, not a misspelling, this Madagascan species was named for Walter Röösli. Plants develop a large caudex underground that can be raised and displayed for its coolness factor. Pure yellow flowers show up in spring and summer.

In the blur of night I was swept up
by another hour.
Another minute.
Another second.
The hymn of the engine.
The open window.
The breeze of another time.
There is not much sun in the inner parts of Nordfjord. The mountains are so high and the sun so low... So this day we only got a glimpse of light. This is Olden valley. The valleys direction is south, so it's the only valley that have sun this time of year in this area.

Beautiful Valentine's Day thaw. Little signs of the beginning of spring all over the park. My favorite time of the year for photography.
