this is the scrabble game I played with my friend at her cottage...now since she's such a better speller then i am, all the good, high scoring words are hers and mine are all the words that are easy and small or are words i don't even know the meaning too because I took ten minutes looking them up in the dictionary...yes that's how I play Scrabble. I have a mind that can't pick out words from 7 random letters, most of which are vowels because I have the worst luck with vowels. anyway if you couldn't tell I lost that game by about 60 point.

GOT inspired with Miss Maffy Soler

This is a game which I have on my 'phone. I used to play it quite a lot but as the levels got harder I lost interest in it. One can acquire shooting lines and spins each day by logging on and I have been doing this fairly regularly for more than a year. As you see I have 215 spins and 261 "laser lines". As the design rotates outer balls can hit the side but a spin keeps one in the game. The "laser lines" ensure accurate shooting.

My daughter is very keen on this game and when she came to see me on Saturday she polished off a few games and left me with this one. I've been working on it every now and then since. It seems to be unending as new balls are added – one just ploughs on. However, having built up so many spins I could keep going. I woke early and played for nearly an hour, then, at five o'clock I got to this point – one last shot and I will have completed this game … phew !

I found this deep in a display case at a shop in Taipei, still in its original plastic wrap. Asked the shop keeper if it was for sale, and snagged it for ~$90 USD with absolutely no guarantee that it worked. The shop owner explained that they have had this in the shop since new, and had forgotten about it for the last 15 years. It only surfaced when they were cleaning up the place.

After buying it, I unwrapped it, found the original leaking batteries still wrapped up (pictured), and the brand new Game Boy. Popped in some fresh batteries and guess what, it works perfectly!

Goes great with my other Famitsu Game Boy Light (below)

I've been working on a game system for a while - so I decided it was time to up the stakes and generate some playing pieces that looked a little more professional than the off-centre black and white printing on Avery business cards.

I had a look at the normal business cards (with square edges) - I was intending to have them printed on square edged cards, with the inside having the rounded element to "fool the eye" - but in the end I couldn't resist the real thing.

The cards were expensive - but the quality is simply lush...

Emilia Clarke:

Emilia Clarke, who plays the Game of Thrones role of Daenerys Targaryen, has nothing to do with vulgar scenes. “vulgar scenes should be more subtle.”

So says the 28-year-old in front of the Daily Mail.

“I’m British, so I still cringe a little about these ...

Before the game started the officials would wear a black jacket over their striped shirts. You would still see the Reebok NFL low grass shoes and 2 stripe one piece fitted socks. The white knickers had a black belt worn with them. The head referee had a white cap with the NFL patch on it.

This well rounded mech has a mid-range laser cannon to finish off it's opponents at a distance and a pneumatic spike to finish off those foes that get too close.

Just makes it clear that my new camera's panorama mode has some... issues at the join points.

A dice game I picked up at our library book sale. It's a variation on Yahtzee, sort of, where you have to roll dice to get multiples, to fill up the levels of your pyramid in sequential order. So you need to roll three 1s, two 2s, and one 3, going up the pyramid, then three 4s, two 5s, and one 6. Then you do a U-turn and fill it in top to bottom, 6-5-4-3-2-1. The rules could be better written, it was needlessly overly complicated to figure out and we think there is one wrong diagram printed in the rulebook! (that directly contradicts the rule text printed after it). Sheesh. But once we straightened out how we were playing it, it's quite addictive. Each die has one side red, so you have a set of six red numbers possible on each throw, until you start filling in levels and have fewer dice to roll. If you roll a red number you can use it to automatically fill a row of the same number, eliminating the need to roll three or two of that number; or you can use the red roll to replace any completed row and get those dice back into play.

I had various primes with me from 17 to 85mm. I don't remember which lens was which. Wide angles are either Tokina 17mm f3.5 RMC or Olympus Zuiko 24mm f2.8 and close-ups Yashica 50mm f1.4, Helios 58mm f2 or Samyang CINE 85mm t1.5. :-)

Kalua Cards

GAME OVERVIEW

In the tropical island of Kalua 5 religions compete to become the one and only. You will take the role of one of the 5 Gods that the Kaluans follow and will reward your followers with good harvests, nice weather and general well-being, or punish them with famine, epidemics, floods, earthquakes and other disasters if they don't pray to you enough. Don't forget though that there are 4 other Gods in the island and the Kaluans can't distinguish where all their bad luck is coming from...

Make your religion the one and only by converting followers from other religions into your own. The game continues until this condition is met.
